James Caan totally rocked the episode. I knew he and his son Scott would have amazing chemistry, but he and Alex were just as good together. I hear he may return in Season 3, fingers crossed

Oh boy, it's hard to choose, but I had to go with the old pro Ed Asner. He did such a wonderful and sly job.

There were lots of good guest stars, but I have to go with Terry O'Quinn. I found him wonderfully likeable, even when he was being an obstacle to Steve's search for Shelburne. I've never seen Terry in anything before, but I'm a fan now and I may check out his new show. I hope they can manage to get him back for a few more appearances.

It is so hard to choose. I like several for different reasons. James Caan was really good and Jimmy Buffett nailed his charartct. But in the end I chose Ed Asner because I like the way they incorporated his character from the oringinal 50 and the switch at the end.He had me believing he had changed - NOT! Some of the choices are more like recurring characters not a one time guest star (like Terry) so it was hard to choose because to me those are like comparing apples and oranges. Nonetheless, this is fun and I can't wait to vote in the next category.

It was really down to James Caan and Ed Asner for me. I though James was incredibly entertaining but like cookiejar said, I chose Ed because his character convinced me that stepped away from the criminal lifestyle. And then bam, that twist at the end that literally had my mouth hanging. Never underestimate someone because of their age.

I voted for James Caan. He was excellent in his role. I loved how his character went from suspect to mentor to friend. I hope they bring him back in season 3. Great chemistry between Caan, Alex and Scott!

I knew Asner and Caan would get lots of votes, but I voted for Buffet anyway. He didn't have a huge part, but his character was very memorable and well done.

It was a toss up between James Caan and Ed Asner for me, but ultimately I went with Ed Asner for two reasons. One the great twist of him killing the diamond thief, that I so didn't see coming and second because of the unique connection of his character back to the original show. Though I did love James and definitely want to see Tony Archer back often, especially as Steve and Danno's marriage counselor.

Impossible to vote for just one - they really did have good ones - Grunny, Ed Asner, Papa Caan, even Willy the Lizard was pretty good.... and TOQ, although he got a bit maddening towards the end....

This was a hard choice because I liked Ed Asner, Jimmy Buffett and James Caan. I have gone for Ed Asner because I agree with everyone else who likes him.

James Caan for me too. Only regret that Patty Duke's appearance wasn't on screen very long and she didn't get a chance to shine.
