I'm so happy with these numbers. As far as I'm concerned, if the writers keep LG away and the core 4 the way they were Monday, then the sky's the limit. Don't you wish there was a way for us to see what the ratings and popularity would have been right now if there had never been an alien on our show. I'm just thrilled that It is gone (for now), and the ratings are up considerably. It's almost as if someone was holding a gun to PL's head and threatened him to get his alien off the show and fix the chemistry of the ohana immediately or else.

I am very happy with these numbers and I can't believe that Castle went under the 10million I think that's a first for the show...

Actually Castle's ratings have been under 10 million viewers for quite a few weeks.....
Here's a recap of Castle viewers for the past 6 airings: 2/20/12 - 9.73 million 2/13/12 - 8.86 million 2/06/12 - 8.70 million 1/23/12 - 10.05 million 1/16/12 - 9.41 million 1.09.12 - 9.76 million 12/05/11 - 8.12 million
The real slide started after DWTS ended. Castle definitely benefited from the DWTS lead in early in the season and w/o it, the show did not really hold it's own against H50.
The bad news is that DWTS is starting up again soon, so we'll have to see how that works out for them. The new DWTS cast is set to be announced on Tues a.m. on GMA, so stay tuned!

I'm very encouraged by the ratings as well. I too worry about DWTS return and March Mad ess basketball tournament airing on CBS could pull those viewers back to Castle.

Wouldn't it be great if PL had a lightbulb moment when he saw these numbers and realizes he should never try a 5th member ever again! He better not ever add another 5th member. Surely he will learn from this disaster
