You know those slideshow things that TV Guide runs every day on their home page, right? Today's is "Shows You're Giving Up On". Some of the comments are hilarious. Two years on and they still won't give up on "It's not as good as the original."

I saw WoFat get arrested too. It added to the story line of the whole show. But with the revealing that Steve's mom not being dead, will impacted the story line because we thought see was dead along with Steve's dad. An we will want to know why WoFat was looking for Steve's mom in the first place, and who did Joe know that Steve's mom was Shelburne?

They lost me after the first episode. A little too much testosterone for me, thank you very much. Love Alex L. but I would prefer him in a different role on a different show.
And I’m sorry but, Scott Caan is just distractingly too short. I know the man can’t do anything about his height but being that short and trying to play a tough transplanted east coast cop just doesn’t jive with me.

In this case, yeah, especially when it becomes distractingly obvious that they’re trying to down play it/work around it. I know there are short tough people in real life; I’m just saying they’re not doing a good job of portraying that on this show with him – at least imo.

Hawaii 5-0 is still a great show. They're having trouble nailing down that second female teammate, but I know that Michelle Borth (who is a REALLY talented actress) will raise everybody's boats in the water. I love the fact that she'll be the 2nd Navy person on the team; the interplay between she and Danny should be a LOT more interesting than Lori's was.

I'm not really concerned that much about Wo Fat or McGarrett's mom; the show is really about the crimes of the week, and how the team functions. Once Michelle's in the mix, the great characters will continue to carry this show.

Tune in; you won't regret it!

Absolutely LOVE the 5-0 re-boot. I think they give us just the right amount of cop drama and personal drama with a great mix of humor.
I loved the original as well, but I personally prefer the new show BECAUSE of the character storylines ---- keep up the great work, can't wait for September !

I like this show. No, it's not breaking too many new boundaries, but the cast is talented and engaging (okay, maybe not so much for Alex O'Loughlin, but he tries), and the scenery is pretty. This is definitely only mind candy, but it's fun.

I couldn't believe that Scott's height was listed as a reason not to like the show

I think TV Guide should have researched before using "WoFat wasn't arrested on screen" as part of their slideshow. It's ridiculous that they used totally incorrect information. Also, people that don't watch because of Scott's height??? Oh well, those people are missing out on the great chemistry and partnership. I'm also tired of people putting down Alex's acting. I have NEVER thought he wasn't Steve. I think he totally does a great job portraying the character! I cringed every time Lauren spoke, I've never felt that with Alex.

these probably the same people bitching about the fact they cast an aussie actor instead of an american actor. give me a break. if you can pull off an american accent and act better than any other actor who went for the part, than it's yours. the mark of a great actor is the way you portray you're character on t.v and make the viewers believe in the character. that's what AOL has done with steve, he has made me believe. not many actors can do that out there.

while i understand people have their opinions, i for one do not except the opinion of not liking the show because of scott caan's height. are you fawking kidding me? yeah sure he's short, but who fawking cares when he has acting chops to back it up and i for one have enjoyed his acting this season, another actor who has made me believe his character.

I think it is very shallow of them to say that about Scott. I was a viewer and fan of the original Five-0, but can't remember if the original Danny was short or not.
I am also a short woman who takes offense at their statements. And what does his height have anything at all to do with the ability to do his job?

At least they didn't change his role to a female one. That would have really changed things up from the original series. We could have ended up with a Dani instead of a Danny.

I think the fact that Scott Caan is near James MacArthur's height, makes him just that much more ideal to play the character of Danny.

First off welcome lynn70 to our ohana hope you enjoy & have fun as we all do.....
Ditto to what you said about Alex's acting I too am sick of all the people putting him down saying things like he is stiff & wooden amongst other things...I believe he does a fantastic job & can express soooo much with just his eyes that not many actors can do....with just a look he conveys so much.....

Ditto to all you have written sunny.....I can't believe what people were saying about Scott's height I am also a short person and it never ceases to amaze me how people can discriminate about a person's physical appearance...they can't look beyond that....personally I think it's a shame because they miss out the enjoyment this man brings to his craft...he is a great actor & I love what he bring to our show...

Alex deserved this part because he brings so much to his portrayal of McGarrett....If an actor can do an amazing job with a part they have been given then they deserve to get it......

hang on people actually say he's stiff and wooden? wtf are they watching? it's been a long time since i've seen an actor who's eyes are as expressive as AOL's eyes. personally there are times when i don't even need to turn up the t.v to hear what's going on, i just go by his eyes. so i pity those people who can't see that. seriously i don't know how people can't see the chemistry between alex and scott, it's feckin obvious. it's a rare thing to have two actors who that good chemistry.
