First I heard about PL possibly leaving. But I do think season 3 can be a make it or break it season. I'm hoping for a make it season. I would like to see it go on for a few years. But season 2 was definately shaky - so a lot is riding on season 3.

I am going to take the position of thinking ahead. We have all heard about the loss of the "headquarters" building to a developer. Yes, I agree LG really brought down the show and Alex had his share of troubles. We also have heard of the "allegedly comment" PL is going to leave the show.(WendieJoy) article. More important, this board has talked about how CBS cuts show, sometimes for reasons unknown to us (outside of $$$$). So I believe in showing support for a show I love and can't wait to see again thru the purchasing of S2 DVD. Hence, I did. Financially my little purchase may not make an impact to CBS but higher sales numbers might show them how much fans want H50 to stay on the air - just like the original. See, there were good bits: Steve vs Wo Fat in Korea; Danny on Steve's couch; Steve and Danny watching the film together; Danny and the dog, etc. I think the 'wait and see' approach might be the answer. If S2 proves to be the aberration and S3 is good, then I'll probably be able to re-watch S2 with a more forgiving eye; however if S3 proves (god forbid) that S1 was the fluke, then I'll have to give up the show and cut my losses anyway, because (however much I love Steve/Alex) I'm not a masochist. Sorry, Azziria, but I won't be of any help here, either. I can't really 'sell you on S2' when I have no intentions on buying it myself. All I can as is that I hope S3 is purchase-worthy. |

had a look today to see how much the season 1 dvd was, 22 euro, gone down from 40. now if that happens with the season 2 dvd, than i'm buying. no way i'm paying 40 euro for episode that i'm going to be skipping over because she's in it.

The word on twitter is that the deleted scene/gag reel where Lauren makes the blow job joke about how she got the job is not on the DVD. I guess TPTB didn't like that, even for the gag reel.

I really hope that they didn't include it -- it was disgusting. "Gag" was the appropriate word for it.

It's not on it. But there is a bit added at the end that I haven't seen previously online. When it seems to end, just keep watching. Around the 9 minute mark, there's more.

Ok, there is one major positive to buying the DVD's. You can fast forward past the alien. The extras are pretty nifty if anything to watch as a guilty pleasure. The price is already dropping on the set, so its kind of one of those guilty pleasure buys. I did it for the continuity and episodes 17-22+ the NCIS Xover episode.
