Well, I would have to say that if Doris isn't Steve's mother it would certainly explain how, within minutes of seeing him after not seeing him for 20 years, she could calmly turn her back and ask if he wants some tea!

As long as they aren't half-brothers, PL can poke fun at us all he wants, as far as I'm concerned. It would be almost funny if it turns out that Dementoid Doris IS WTFWF's mom, but not Steve's. And in that case, unless it's a total unknown woman, the old Gov is actually a good possibility. But not with Joe - with McG Sr. Of course this leads into a "As the Spam Turns" soap opera of a weird marriage where the super spy adopts her husband's kid by another woman and passes him off as her own, God knows why, but it does make for a wonderful comic book. This season's finale could then be "Are you my mother?" with Steve as the hapless chick in search of his mommy. Ohmygosh, Dani, I am still laughing at your post. Everything from Spam to the hapless chick has me laughing still. Because, yeah, it's obviously too early in the season - duh, it's E1 - for Steve to figure this whole mess out. And since it would normally take Max or Fong less than an hour to get the DNA results back to him, that leaves the rest of the season for him to scratch his head. |

there was Catherine with a machine gun or whatever kind it was, right there shooting too. I know that she's a navy intelligence officer, but she's still a civilian not a cop and shouldn't be involved in any gunfight. I thought the same thing. Not law enforcement, so she shouldn't have been in that scene, or at least have stayed in the car. |

I must point out a little mistake here but the Ali'iolani Hale and the Iolani Palace are two different buildings. The Ali'iolani Hale is a courthouse, not an palace. Why are they'er calling it an palace?

It was originally designed as the royal palace of King Kamehameha V so that's probably why they refer to it as the "palace" even though he actually commissioned it as a government office building instead of a palace. But that is where his statue is. The name means "house of the heavenly king" so maybe that's why the name stuck. |

I liked the episode overall. I really hope that the DNA test IS Lenkov teasing fans for the brother theory-Wo Fat being Steve's half brother is a terrible idea.

I liked it mostly.
Chi McBride was on "Human Target" and "Golden Boy". I liked him on both. Was there a Captain Lou (Boomer) Grover on the original 5-0? I did a quick IMDB check and saw plenty of Captains, but not that one. He already isn't happy with Steve's actions. Duke will be stuck between them, I'm afraid. He must be replacing Captain Vincent Frye as a problem and helper?
Why did Steve have Chin give up when he and Danny were caught? Surprised they shot their shooter, Recardo Cosi. I hated to see the Computer and Camaro destroyed. If they wanted to stop Chin from following, why not after shooting up the Traverse, then back the Camaro into it and then blow it up? When the Tahoe took off it seemed Chin Ho was shooting, "A -team" style. Missing everything. I know he was shook up but, wound someone!
Komekono and Max worried was nice. Komekono's exchange with new Officer Pau Kai, was cute too.
Steve asking about Mom and Wo Fat, and getting the blood sample was good. Also to find if related. This can answer a couple of the nagging questions in 5-0. But I would think HPD at least, would have samples. Public Enemy no. 1 and all.
Surprised the 2 heads, (Desmond from Lost)Ernesto and El Condor (Boss) were killed off.
Glad they didn't blow up Catherine's Corvette. Hate when they destroy classic cars on movies. Or Danny's Camaro. I wondered as Steve looked through woods what he would find.
Kono and Adam in trouble, ofcourse.
