Thanks Margarine, that explains why some of the references are a bit out of date. It takes a while to get into but its not bad.

Did anyone watch Terra Nova last night? It was pretty good, but left a lot of questions unanswered; and no guarantee that it's going to be renewed. You know, I'm getting tired of having characters that I like killed off, but when it comes to a certain character, she stays -- just like a cockroach, you can't get rid of her.

booklover- i watch Terra Nova. I like it. And yeah, really good point about the unwanted one staying on and the ones you want on the show get taken off.

Hope I don't get in trouble for this, since it's the competition, but I do enjoy Castle. Thank goodness for DVR. I watch H5O first, then Castle. Also Criminal Minds, House, Merlin and Doctor Who. Just discovered Downton Abbey, and S2 is about to start on PBS.

I've liked the previews for Alcatraz (FOX) and The Firm (NBC). I watched that Bosom Buddies ripoff Work It (ABC) and it sucks like a Hoover vacuum!!! If I was the male lead on that show I would be saying "I can't believe I shaved my legs for this!"

Work It! is just the same as The Playboy Club, only worse - I can't grasp how anybody could be expected to watch it. But then people watched Celebrity Wife Swap, there's no exaggerating how some people will watch anything.
Alcatraz looks interesting, I'll always give Sam Neill a try, but The Firm doesn't appeal. But Smash is probably worth a look, and I just saw a promo for Touch, the new Jack Bauer - oops, Kiefer Sutherland - show and I want to see that. New shows on Fox are so iffy, but lately they've been doing okay.

^ Definitely looking forward to Touch. I've been missing Kiefer Sutherland on TV since 24 ended. He did that mini series The Confession online but it will be great to see him on TV again. Ooooo forgot about that one! I'd "watch" it just to hear Kiefer's voice.......

I think I'm going to have to give The Firm a try just because of Josh Lucas. I've been a fan of his ever since Sweet Home Alabama. I'm not a die hard fan. He's actually done some things that I don't like, but sometimes he's good. We'll see!

Can anybody tell me if Unforgettable is worth a try? They are advertising it quite heavily in the UK and I thought I might give it a go.

Unforgettable is doing well here. For me it's in a gray area. When I watch it I like it pretty well, and I don't object to it sticking around, but it isn't must-see. The gimmick is a good one. I think I just don't like the character particularly. And the other characters don't seem strong enough to keep me coming back. Come 9 o'clock on Tuesday if I'm on ABC, where Body of Proof comes on opposite Unforgettable, I'm just as likely not to bother changing the channel. People are watching it, though, so you might like it more than I do.

Not really a show per se, but I am looking forward to getting the Ides of March movie later this month on DVD. You just gotta love it when the hometown boy, George Clooney, comes home to film his movie here in Cincy.

He really does have a nice voice , I watched Oceans Thirteen at the weekend and his voice is very soothing. I will watch out for the Ides of March in the UK.

He gets it from his Dad who was a local news broadcaster here in Cincinnati for many years. And FYI, George's cousin Miguel Ferrer is playing the new Deputy Director who is a thorn in Hetty's side on NCIS:LA. And here is another bit of trivia for you too. Rocky Carroll who plays Director Vance on NCIS and NCIS:LA is also from Cincy.
