we just had an irish celeb come out this evening on live t.v, it made one of the national papers that the guy was going to make a shocking revelation. half way through the interview, i asked me mum was that the shocking revelation? well duh, it wasn't exactly shocking to be honest. but the poor guy was in the pulled through the mud because he had made some comments about another celeb who is gay and every one was calling the guy who came out tonight homophobic.

it's funny, we just had presidential elections here in ireland, and one of our candidates is an openly gay guy, and while he has done some questionable actions in the past involving his ex lover and a rape case, he still managed to come in 3rd out of 7 candidates.

so i think in this day and age, i think we're becoming more acceptable of gay people.

i have two friends who are gay, one is married and living over in england. the other is living the single life in england.

I worked with some gay guys and they were the sweetest. One of them was the typical "what a waste!" guy. Gorgeous. Whoever his partner was, he was lucky. And actually one of my SIL's stepbrothers is gay, and so what.
My lovely MIL of course tries to sit as far away from him as possible at family stuff. Don't think it's contagious. Actually, maybe it would make the old bat nicer.

yeah my gay friend who is married is stunning. say it to him all the time and he bloody well knows it to. *sigh*

my cousin recently came out, i've known since he was like 13 years old he was gay. i had to hear from a friend of a friend that he came out, which pissed me off because we are very close, well at least we were very close. even though i knew, it would have been nice if he would tell me to my face.
