Just voted and this the comment I posted:
Season 1 by miles and miles and miles. I absolutely loved the chemistry and the stellar acting the Core 4 had in the first season and the recurring characters like Kamekona, Grace, Max and Sang Min were the best. And who could forget the carguments, the bromance, the Bookem' Danno moments, the most importantly the feeling of Ohana that the Core 4 had. Unfortunately, since the addition of Lori in the second season, who is sadly being played by a less than stellar actress, all these things have been lacking in order to make room for her and the chemistry of the cast is just gone.

I voted for Season One. It's at 58.86% right now. I saw that, goldberry. But I also noticed that those that 'Don't Know' are 19%, so that really takes away from the S2 voters.

What is there to be confused about? Unless new fans did not watch season 1.

What is there to be confused about? Unless new fans did not watch season 1. Well, I confess I picked Can't Choose. I don't feel half a season is enough time to judge Season 2. If we get a string of stellar episodes to end the Season, it may change some opinions on it. I think I said this in another post somewhere, but I'll repeat it. Season 2 has been way more uneven than Season 1. It had some of the worst episodes, but also some of the very best (e.g. Ha'i'ole, Ki'ilua). Aside from one really disliked character addition (we all know who), I've been enjoying Season 2.

I definitely liked Season 1 better. That's not to say I loved every episode and every storyline. There were things I didn't like - like the Rick Springfield episode, Danny hooking up with his ex-wife,introducing a fifth team member (Jenna) which didn't seem to fit, to name a few things. But overall I liked the season. The first episode of season 2 was great even though I didn't agree with the producers storyline of breaking up the team at the end of season 1and making the Gov. bad (I like Jean Smart and her scenes with Alex and would have preferred her to stay on a little longer). But after the season 2 first episode things went downhill with the intro of, once again, an unnecessary 5th team member. Now I find myself only liking parts of each episode and can't really say I liked an episode start to finish.I continue to watch because I like seeing Hawaii each week and the core 4 and will continue to do so for now. But overall season 1 was better.

I must confess that I am more interested in the propaganda value of this poll in the larger 5-0 fandom than in actually saying here, "I like season one better."

I know it's not a scientific poll but the general direction of results seem to mirror feedback from other message boards and social media sites. I did cast my vote for S1 because I thought the flow of characters story arcs were more consistent and I felt like I knew what defined them. S2 for me is all over the place with different characters, new plots, unresolved past story lines intersecting each other without any continuity and consistency. There were a few episodes this season like 5-8 that had the comfortable feeling I liked in S1. The comedy was SO much better in S1---now it seems sarcastic and forced.

Unscientific or not, I think the poll shows that a lot of people feel the same way and that the show has gone way off course.
