never ever let a burst blister uncovered being diabetic i tend to watch for cuts and bruises, normally they go away and it's fine. got a blister on sunday and it burst and i forgot about it. woke up tuesday, it was sore, put on a plaster, checked it on wednesday, poisoned and infected went out to the doctor, who gave me cream and bandages and medication. went back to her today and still not looking great. always cover broken blisters people

Oh Sunny, I'm sorry that happened to you! 2 of my brothers are diabetic---that's how their foot sores started out---as blisters that popped. The problem with diabetics is that they are not only at a higher risk of infection, but the wounds are so slow to heal too. Keep an eye on it, wish you fast healing!!

thanx hon. covering it with plasters now and making sure i've got a plaster on it for my practical exams next week. don't want any oil or powder going near it

it's healing, but it appears certain plasters don't agree with it. i took off the plaster that the nurse put on me last night, and put on one of my own, doesn't look so good, so i think i'm gonna have to get more plasters off the nurse again. lucky i have another one some where
