Hey guys! Last year during the summer hiatus, Darksea and I organized the Hawaii Five-0 Fan Forum Awards for season one. (Hence this section of the board: hawaii-five-0.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=awards ) Now, my question to you all, is if you are interested in holding another one of these awards for season two? I wanted to make sure you all were interested before anything else was done because the organization and planning takes some time. So, you guys interested? |

I for one can't imagine trying to pry out best-of elements from this season. It seems better to just put it out of my mind and move on. I acknowledge 201 and 222 as really good episodes. 210, 220, and 221 were almost as good. There ya go.

But seriously, be honest because I don't want anyone, or myself, putting in the effort if no one gives a shit. I agree this season wasn't all that fantastic, but it wasn't all bad. I thought it would be fun to do the awards again to appreciate the brighter moments, but hey... *shrugs* I was just trying to bring in something positive but, no big deal, honestly.

It would be painful to go back and try pull out the best of this season. I agree with margarine on the best episodes......now if we were to give the award for the worst...well, that wouldn't be so difficult. But--it would be a pain to have to go back and think about all this. No --I'm not holding back.........

I think it would be fun to do the awards again, for me there has still been alot of good thing this season, some epic bromance and carguments, some awesome acting from the team and guest stars and some episodes that rank among my favourites.

There were still plenty of good moments amongst the bad in S2. And I wasn't here to play the first time around, so I would enjoy doing this.

I was thinking of doing only a few categories, not full-blown like last year. So: Favorite Cargument, Favorite Guest Star, possibly Favorite Episode (only including the premiere, epi 10, 17-23), maybe a few more, I'm not sure yet.
This is all about you guys, so if there's anything you definitely want to do, let me know here, or via PM. I just wanted to have a little fun over the summer.

An answer to the question: I would love to play but I have only seen maybe half of the season. Don't want to get people mad at me but I understand why the writers did bring in Lauren German. If you look at from a 'political' stand point of the show, the new Governor wanted to be in control of what our fab 4 were doing. (He wanted to play by the rules, which in some instances that is great, but other times it entails you to make a judgment call when you are out in the field, and Steve's brand of justice tends to be right on the mark....*shrugs* McGarrett reminds me of Gibbs (NCIS) in alot ways). Looking forward to seeing who all thought was the best episode.  |

I was actually only going to include the episodes without Lori. I don't see the point in including them since none of them will win anyways.

MF,
The only episode with LW in it that could even possibly be considered as one of "the best" is ep 215 (the one where Grace is kidnapped). Even though LW was in it and the first scene was vomit inducing, it was a tour-de-force piece of acting from SC. He put it all out there and really made that episode stand out for me - just MHO here.....

2.15 was indeed the sprained ankle one.
My first instinct is to suggest that everything be included, in the interest of fairness. Although, I don't know exactly the format of these awards, or how much extra work will be required from the organizers if you include all eps. So please do what you think is best, and most convenient for you.
