Last year we started with all the episodes and there was 2 rounds of voting to get the most popular episodes, and then a secondary vote for the actual winner. I just don't see the point in doing the extra work for episodes that aren't going to win.

Actually with the polling feature of this site you should not need to do multiple rounds, unless you want to as you can choose up to 35 different responses and it will do the calculations for you. You can even set the poll up so members can vote for more than one option if you want. Unlike the CBS forum where these started last year that didn't' have a polling feature at all and as I recall you guys had to tabulate the results by hand. This way you could list all 23 episodes and then just let the best episode win for the best episode category. Though for the other categories I can see where you will probably need at least two rounds. The first being a nomination round then followed by a voting round. In addition to the ones you already mentioned here are some categories that I might suggest: Best Daddy Danno Moment Best SuperSEAL Moment Best Kono Kick -Ass Moment Best Zen Chin Moment Best Action Sequence And the one I know we all want to do whether we admit to or not: Worst Lori Moment (This might be a difficult one for most of us as there are just so many good options to choose.  ) Remember, awards are also given for the worst of things too. ;D If you wanted you could even do a round of polling to help choose what categories that are included. Then the nomination round, followed by the final voting round. It is really up to you guys how you want to do this. |

Ok, so I'll include all the episodes then. They did have a poll feature at the cbs board but I think there wasn't enough slots in the poll to include all the episodes. That may have been why there were two rounds of voting.
All great category ideas, Di! I'll be searching for some video clips of carguments and favorite scenes and such this weekend. I'm going to start a new thread for listing any nominees for any of those moments Di suggested, it is probably easier for me to organize them that way, then have them spread out on this thread.

An answer to the question: I would love to play but I have only seen maybe half of the season. Don't want to get people mad at me but I understand why the writers did bring in Lauren German. If you look at from a 'political' stand point of the show, the new Governor wanted to be in control of what our fab 4 were doing. (He wanted to play by the rules, which in some instances that is great, but other times it entails you to make a judgment call when you are out in the field, and Steve's brand of justice tends to be right on the mark....*shrugs* McGarrett reminds me of Gibbs (NCIS) in alot ways). Looking forward to seeing who all thought was the best episode.  But this never happened: Lori was supposed to be the governor's spy, a "female McGarrett" and a love interest for Steve, but none of these things ever happened. The character (and the actress) was an utter failure who made the show nearly unwatchable at times. |

I know I'm a little late getting in on this but I've been watching the posts and debating whether or not to post...... I wasn't a member last year so don't know how things went then.....BUT I'd appreciate the opportunity to take part this year even if there are more things I disliked than liked about the episodes (if that makes any sense at all!!!) I still enjoyed the later episodes particularly and the odd moment in the earlier ones (ducks while typing  ) Although I admit I have yet to see the last 2 from this season due to college committments  Some of the categories mentioned would definitely require thought and I look forward to seeing how this comes about.
