CBS Hawaii Five-0 3.3 (18-49 Demo) 11.466 (Million Viewers) ABC 20/20 Special 2.8 (18-49 Demo) 13.354 (Million Viewers) NBC Rock Center 1.3 (18-49 Demo) 4.488 (Million Viewers)
And with no competition from Castle last night H50 picked up 1.51 million viewers and 0.3 on the demo.

Now, that I've seen the numbers they aren't looking as bad as I thought they were going to be. That's alot better than I was imagining after hearing that they lost by about 3 million viewers. I'm relieved!

These are decent actually. Thanks to Castle. But the Gabby Giffords special did bring in a lot of viewers.

There are some interesting comments over on tvbythenumbers. Not the usual Castle vs. Five-0 cat fights, but you can occasionally get some half-way decent comments. Someone pointed out that the ratings for this episode (2.09 on 11/14) had higher ratings than last year's episode (1.09 on 11/15). Also, someone else commented that a contact at CBS has told them that CBS is not happy with ratings this season -- not cancellation unhappy, but unhappy none the less.
Darksea or Dianna, are you hearing anything about that?

Yeah, I'm hearing Grumblings too. The total viewership are not pleasing, and since the rest of the night, CBS is number one, until #H50 time, its not pretty.

Darksea, what do you mean exactly by it's not pretty? It's not pretty like it's downright ugly throw it out. Or, it's not pretty time for a makeover.

On TVbythe numbers they have h50 listed as "likely to be renewed". I don't know how knowledgable that site is - but they seem to have a grasp of all the ratings stuff. I also did not see any remarks about CBS and H50 in the comments for the Monday night ratings - where was the comment?
I wonder if the broadcast of the show in all these foreign countries affects the decisions made by CBS?

Honestly, no offense, but international broadcast reshows does not have an effect on the decisions made by CBS, because it is a different ratings system.
The ratings system is not based on how many people watch or enjoy a show. It is based on the number of people watchign the show, so that advertisers can buy air time. American advertisers.
TVbythenumbers changes the 'likely to be renewed' chart every week. Sometimes three times weekly. It all depends if it meets their ratings criteria.
Now, as for the ratings for this episode, it's no surprise, because not a lot of people wanted to see Gabby Giffords talk about forgiveness, though Hawaii Five O still placed below. On Entertainment Tonight for the past few nights, they have mentioned shows that are placing first in viewer totals followed by the demographic, but didn't mention 5-O at all.
5-O is not in danger of cancellation. As a matter of fact, its still pulling pretty decent viewers. There has not been a discernable drop in the ratings, a consistent drop in the ratings. While the loyalty is notable, and admirable, the ratings aren't dropping enough to convince anybody that there is a majority of Lori haters, and there is not a consistent enough drop to do make a significant enough case that there is a danger.

Is he being serious or sarcastic??

"According to my CBS friend, CBS is not happy, but don’t expect a Press Release about it. A strong business looks for better numbers each year, even the same numbers are bad news for them. When the numbers are weaker, that is the worst.Hawaii has made that slot weaker. They know it."

I can't speak for the entertainment industry, but in the finance/corporate world , we had to increase our margins by at least 20% each year, to be considered improving.(staying the same or decrease in revenue was unacceptable, even if still profitable) Or else no bonus.
