At least everybody seemed to take a hit. It will be interesting to see the DVR numbers when they come out. Just such a shame after the improvement last week.

Normally the 2 sites do agree completely. A typo probably got in there somewhere. After all our discussions about the ratings repercussions ofcasting, plots, storylines, new NBC programs, etc., who would have thought that weather would end up being an issue!

Did I miss something somewhere? Where was weather an issue last night?

Just as Diana predicted, the Daytona 500 killed the ratings on Monday night as per TVBTN:
The rain-delayed and rescheduled Daytona 500 burned up the track and looks to have topped the ratings on Monday night (although just edging NBC in the prelims), but since the ratings below aren't time zone adjusted, and they cover only the Eastern/Central Time zone prime time portion of the race, we'll have to wait until the final ratings (likely later today) for the final tally. Daytona 500 (8-10p) 4.5 (18-49 demo) - 14.23 million viewers vs H50 2.5 (18-49 demo) - 9.44 million viewers Smash 2.4 (18-49 demo) - 6.85 million viewers Castle 2.2 (18-49 demo) - 9.06 million viewers
No way to know for sure, but I think the Daytona 500 stole more viewers from H50 than it did from Smash or Castle. If you look at % CHG in preliminary viewers vs last week for each of the 3 10pm shows, it looks like this:
H50 -7% Smash +6% Castle -6%
So too bad for H50..... all those people watching the race probably DVR'd H50.

Why do I think that CBS will not be too happy with those ratings for H50.

Why do I think that CBS will not be too happy with those ratings for H50. Cause with having James Caan on should have been a ratings winner and it wasn't.Yes Nascar hurt H50 but still those are not good ratings IMO.Maybe I'm wrong but I see lots of trouble ahead for H50.

SMASH beat CASTLE? Da-yum! There's a surprise. Marg, Smash has beaten Castle in the 18-49 demo every single week. Smash is last in total viewers for the 3rd straight week, however. Or did I misunderstand your meaning?
