Although viewer number in general seems a little down. Was there a football game on?

No, Monday Night Football is done. The NFL playoffs are weekend only.

It was a 3-day holiday weekend in the US though (Martin Luther King Day), maybe that had something to do with it?

Here are the updated ratings numbers for when 7 day DVR viewership is added in.

Hawaii Five-0 went from 10,731 million viewers to 14,238 for a gain of 3, 507 million viewers or a gain of 32.7%. CASTLE went from 9,412 million viewers to 12,523 for a gain of 3,111 million viewers or a gain of 33.1%

As for the 18-49 demo Hawaii Five-0 went from a 2.80 to a 3.90 for a gain of 1.10 or 39.3%. CASTLE went from a 2.20 to a 3.20 for a gain of 1.00 or 45.5%.
