CBS Hawaii Five-0 2.8 (18-49 Demo) 10.93 (Million Viewers) NBC Rock Center with Brian Williams 1.1(18-49 Demo) 4.04(Million Viewers) ABC Castle (R) 1.0(18-49 Demo) 4.16(Million Viewers)
And with no competition from Castle which was a repeat last night H50 only picked up 174,000 viewers and lost 0.2 on the demo from last week.

Thanks, Diana. Looks like more live viewers for HF-0 and less DVRing.

Interesting comment on the tv-by-the-numbers page about last night's shows:
"H50 needs to go back to the formula that was working for them last season. This season has been a hot mess with the addition of Lori, Joe, Max and mountains of guest stars. Not to mention the stupid plots like Kono going undercover."

Thanks, Diana. Looks like more live viewers for HF-0 and less DVRing. Yes, but they should be picking up a whole lot more viewers than just 174,000 considering that Castle was a repeat. On average Castle usually has about 11 million viewers and last night because of the repeat they only had 4.16 million, so where did the other 6.84 million viewers or 6.66 Million Viewers if you take out the 174,000 that H50 gained, go? The didn't decided to watch H50 since H50 only picked up 2.5% of the potential viewers out there that were ripe for the picking, that is not good.

Take into consideration that H50 was pre-empted in multiple markets last night as well, and aired at like 1 am in the morning.

En masse.

Maybe because it is getting so close to Christmas, people have other things to do with their evenings than watch TV. I forgot to set my DVR for a different show last week - and it was an evening I was actually at home, just totally engrossed in Christmas cards and notes. Didn't think of it till about 3 minutes was left of the show. Called a friend to ask her to save it and we could watch it together. She forgot too - elbow deep in cookie baking.

Bag of Bones got 3 million viewers Monday night - one of their highest drawing shows according to the Hollywood Reporter. Still doesn't account for all of those 6.6 million viewers but - pre-emptions and cookie baking may be the explanation too.

Seriously, Hawaii Five O was pre-empted in several markets for a Christmas special. It was reshown at 1 am. It was taken out of its timeslot, so therefore, in those markets, the ratings won't count.
Not to mention, there are many who have accepted the fact that Lori's 'also starring' means that she's around for a while, and don't want to see it. The backlash from the Dec. 9th incident was also already starting.

Too much of all of these people has broken the cohesiveness of the team and really hurt the show.

As usual, a fairly significant gain when +7 numbers are factored in. Good.

Ok, for the umpteenth time:
1) DVR +7 Numbers don't mean as much as live numbers. 2) The show is not in danger of being cancelled. Unless it drops under 9 million for three straight weeks on a new air, the show aint gonna go anywhere unless something drastic happens. 3) Congrats. "Good" means that Lori is most likely going to stay forever.
