So it appears that H50 won the demo but lost the total viewers. So I am not really sure what this means exactly.
CBS Hawaii Five-0 3.2(18-49 demo) 10.88 (Million Viewers) ABC Castle 2.6(18-49 demo) 11.59(Million Viewers) NBC The Playboy Club 1.2(18-49 demo) 3.39(Million Viewers)
I'm still waiting on the half an hour break down to see if there was a drop off in the second half of the show.
For comparison purposes H50 had 11.388 million viewers in the first half hour and 10.738 in the second half for last week's episode. For an average of 11.1 Million Viewers, which means that there was a drop off of about 300,000 viewers from last week to this week.

What the hell? All three shows took a hit. Did Monday Night Football have a particularly good game?
So basically, there were less viewers, but the viewers they did have were in the 18-49 range moreso than Castle.

There are also baseball playoffs.

Castle may have won out, but not by much. That's a good sign. Do those numbers include those who watch on-line or DVR? They certainly don't factor in those of us who watch later online or OnDemand. Yes, HF-0 is up against Monday night football, which is huge (I'd be watching it, that's for sure)

That's not that good of a sign, because they are going to say that Lori isn't having that much impact on the ratings.
Those numbers do not include DVR. They never will include online, or OnDemand. Online and OnDemand do not count in the Nielsen ratings.

It should say that despite Lori the loyal viewers still watched and we should listen to them. ;-)

Is this a big enough drop for them to do something? Or would it need to be a larger number?

Yeah, unfortunately, that's not how it works.

So a larger drop then? Great. This is just awesome! *sarcasm*

The problem is, the drop was across all three shows, so there is no way to say if an action on the show resulted in the drop. And my comment was to the fact that it would be nice if they said that despite of her the ratings still survived, but that is just not how it works in the ratings world.

darksea - was there any significant rating dropoff when Jenna started last season? I wasn't around to know what the numbers were back then. My thinking is that if they ditched her without any appreciable dropoff, maybe we could be lucky a second time with Hoochie?

It's really unfortunate that H50 is up against Monday Night Football - and right now the baseball playoffs. (Our team is in the playoffs this year and if they would have played last night, 50 would have definitely been delegated to the DVR for later viewing!) Anyway, I think people would rather watch a sporting event live and DVR a weekly program, which stinks for the ratings of the weekly shows. I guess this is going to be a case of hoping that Peter and TPTB listen to what the loyal fans are SAYING rather than just the ratings as a gauge of how the program is really doing. Ratings are inportant, but verbal feedback gives him a feel for what the fans think is working and what keeps them watching. So, I am grateful to all of you fighting the good fight on FB and other social networks. I am not on FB, so thanks to all of you! (Sorry, this got longer than I intended!)

Peter Lenkov: I'm sure Luren German will boost ratings
"The ratings goes down the drain"
Rick Berman: I'm sure Jolene Blalock will boost ratings
"Ratings goes down the drain"

My thinking is that if they ditched her without any appreciable dropoff, maybe we could be lucky a second time with Hoochie? There was an obvious dropoff. Her first episode had the first signficant drop in ratings last season. Her second episode had one of the lowest ratings of the season, and her third appearance had the finale level off against the average of the second half of the season.
