I've had this happen too. I put phone in a bowl of dry rice for 24 hrs. I also used a blow dryer where phone charger cord inserts. Hope you can save it

irishfan so sorry to hear what happened to your mobile but glad to know that it's working. Hawaii 5-0 to the rescue, sometimes we do learn things from our tv shows.
You can always update your phone through your phone provider.
Take care..... Thanks Yeah it's amazing what our favourite tv shows can teach us....And this time I'm very glad Chin used rice for the sim and that it worked for the whole phone I would have updated through my provider but I'm not entitled to one at the moment.....I'll just have to bide my time a few more months til Christmas I think Fiona My phone provider keeps busting my chops with new deals every few months and because I have been with them for a while they always offering to upgrade my phone...But I keep telling them I am happy with my phone.....
Glad though that your phone is working.. ...

Yep gbird, the rice trick seems to work really well There's a teeny problem with one button but it's not a hugely essential thing so I'm back in business Fiona
