BBQ with my family, thanks to the military in a ceremony and fireworks later in the evening.
Happy 4th of July everyone! Freedom isn't free... many thanks to men and women and Navy Seals serving our country in foreign lands and in the U.S.A. today.

My heart is always stirred when I see this video. I know many things in the world change from one generation to another generation, but there is one thing that stays the same... God blesses every generation with heroes. To all of our heroes, thank you for giving us our freedom and protecting it.

I haven't watched 1776 in a long time; some of the songs are really good. If it makes you feel any better mine (Reds) is currently losing to the Dodgers, 3 to 1. I'm with you in disliking the Phillies, especially ever since they allowed the The Philly phanatic to sit behind home plate trying to distract the opposing teams pitchers during the playoff games between the Reds and the Phillies in 2010. Not that it would have made a difference in the outcome of the games as the Reds would have still had their clocks cleaned any way, and I don't have a problem with mascots entertaining the crowd but I thought it was a childish and immature thing to try to influence the outcome of the game with antics instead of relying on being the better team. |

I feel the same way Diana. At least the Padres mascot stays mostly in the stands and away from home plate. And ah, Sorry that the Padres beat the Reds last night. I'd say better luck tonight, but I wouldn't really mean it. But I'll root for the Reds when they arn't playing the Padres. |
