9th Annual Surf4Hugs 8/4/12

AOL and SC made an appearance at the 9th Annual Surf4Hugs Event today at Kuhoi Beach Park in Honolulu and they graciously posed with the kids and their families for LOTS and LOTS of pics. AOL and SC were truly generous with their time and celebrity contributing to a good cause.

HUGS, which is an acromymn for Help, Understanding, & Group Support, is a Hawaiian non-profit dedicated to helping children with life-threatening diseases across the Hawaiian islands. SURF 4 HUGS was started in Waikiki, Hawaii, in the summer of 2004 in an effort to teach keiki (children) the value of giving back to those in need.

I saw the pics via a FB link and was happy to see that you included the last two with AOL bending over to get to "kid level" to talk to a couple young boys. I really like to see an adult (any adult but even more in the case of a celebrity) talking to a child at their level (i.e., so the kid isn't looking waaaaaay up). To me that shows that he really cares and isn't there just to be a celebrity.
