Thoughts, Prayers and Apologies

I wanted to ask everyone for their thoughts and prayers today as my best friend's 5-year old nephew with Down's syndrome is undergoing open heart surgery today to repair two holes in his heart. And, while the surgery is considered to be a routine surgery, nonetheless it is still a serious and scary surgery especially when being performed on a child let a lone one with special needs, so any and all prayers for Caleb and his family are welcomed and appreciated.

I also wanted to apologize for not being around the board much in the past couple days and to let you know that I probably won't be around much over the next couple of weeks either, (though I still plan on checking in briefly everyday just to make sure the board hasn't imploded) as I have been busy trying to spend time and help out my best friend (and her family) who has come into town from Virgina to take care of her sister's three older children so that Caleb's parents can be at the hospital as much as possible with their young son. I also wanted to let those people who PM'ed me over the past few days that I haven't responded to, know that I am not ignoring you, I just have been extremely busy, but I do promise to respond once things calm down a bit.

I've said prayers for all of you already. A very difficult time for everyone, especially his parents because they are exhausted by the worrying and lack of sleep they get. Will pray for Caleb during his post op period too so he doesn't suffer any complications.

You have a stressful part too Diana! Taking care of children, especially when they're not in school, is exhausting in itself. Don't hurry back, nothing really going on here because of the hiatus. Take care Di, and I wish all of you the very best....

I am pagan and if that does not bother you then I would be happy to ask for the Goddess to show her love to your friends family and help them through this times. Healing thoughts and warmth sent both to your friend and her family as well to you who will be helpping them
