Interesting. Thanks for posting. Would like to know what criteria they use to make the decision. NCIS is only 30,000 more than H5o but about 100,000 less Big Bang theory even though NCIS is so high in the ratings.

Does this means more commercial? No, Joe, this does not mean more commercial time during H50....in a 42 min show there will only be approx 18 mins of commercials no matter how much the network charges. The biggest difference is which companies will choose to advertise during each particular show based on target demographic and cost of the ad spots. I do not believe that CBS primetime TV shows alter their number of commercial minutes per episode based on how much they charge to run an ad during their broadcast.

Actually, for Joe I think they're probably just going to show him 60 minutes worth of commercials on the theory that there would then maybe be something during that 60 minutes that he'd actually like. The rest of us get to watch the show along with the usual 18 minutes of commercials.

I love the small print under the chart, it basically says that they are estimates, whose prices may have changed, is based on an average. The prices can be different with the relationship with the show or the production company, etc.
The prices are the industry standard cross linked between ratings and demographics. NCIS actually brings in higher ad revenues, and Hawaii Five-O is less because of their relationship with Chevrolet, etc.
Those are the prices for the allotted commercial time, so if you can fit 36 commercials into the commercial time, then that's how much each commercial can be charged for.

that's pretty much like over here as well, i believe it's close to half a million euro for a advert slot during x-factor. not sure about the rest of them.
