I have had several requests to continue/add on to my Bromance Appreciation Scrapbook so I have decided the time has come....
I am starting this new thread for 'The Bromance Appreciation Scrapbook-Part 2' since the original thread has gotten so long and it now takes a few minutes for the pics to load.
As H50 continues it's telecasts well into the 3rd season, it is still quite clear to me that this show is, and will always be, built around the importance of team work and the value of friendship. After the crime of the week has been solved, the action stunts performed flawlessly and the beautiful Hawaiian scenery flashed before our eyes, it always comes back to the ohana of the Core 4 and the awesome bromance between Steve and Danny.
So how do we know it's still 'the bromance of the century' ?? (as AOL once referred to it)
Let's review.....
1. When he is just as excited as your are when you finally reel in your first 'tuny fish'
2. And then is so proud of you, he insists on taking a picture
3. When you get the reassuring pat on the back
4. Or on the shoulder
5. Or on the backside
6. After a harrowing adventure and telling him a very personal story, he knows how to compassionately and respectfully propose a toast to your long lost friend,
'Here's to Billy Sellway'
7. When forced to watch 'The Notebook', you can share a bowl of popcorn and snuggle with your friend and neither your daughter or his girl friend think it's weird.
8. When he keeps you from embarrassing yourself by chasing after a super model to ask for her phone number
9. When he is the shoulder you lean on
10. When you must work together for survival even though the mess you're in is all his fault
11. When he sometimes seems to understand your daughter better than you do
12. And then really shows you up in front of her by helping her take pics to tweet to her friends
13. But at the end of the day, you totally trust him with your daughter's life and well being
14. When holding hands is the expected thing to do and it's not the least bit awkward
15. After some of the most intense moments of your life, he is there to give you a hug....
16. Even though he seems to need it as much as you do....
17. And then he proceeds to simultaneously laugh and cry
18. When there are times that very few words are needed...
19. Or times when no words are needed at all
TBC
