Here's a question for everyone to think about while you're out doing your last minute Christmas shopping.... what do you think our Five-0 characters would get for each other? This question originally came to mind because of a relative that is hard to buy for, so it got me to wondering, 'What would Kono get for Adam?', since the guy is rich enough to buy anything he wants anyway. I think the thing you should give a guy who has everything, is your time. I think she'd organize a romantic evening with dinner, or some such thing. BTW Runner, awesome avatar picture!

Thank you, bio. I still laugh when I think of that scene. Good idea for Adam's Christmas gift. I wonder what ideas everyone else will come up with. My idea: since Adam misses his father, is to have a picture made of him. Not a photo, but a nice drawing or painting kind of thing.

I worked at the mall one Christmas season. It was fun during November - everyone was cheerful and full of holiday spirit - getting their shopping done early. But once the December countdown began - OMG. People were grumpy and sometimes downright nasty. Yes, things were in stock at the start of the season - but by December 23rd, most of the good stuff is gone. Is that so hard to understand? You smile and treat everyone pleasantly, but by the end of the day it is extremely difficult. I have a new respect for the people who work at the mall now and I always try to be one of their 'nice' customers.

Sounds like you got the brunt of their rudeness, Sunny. When our kids were little, Christmas dinner was always a birthday cake and the kids would sing Happy Birthday to Baby Jesus. I still like to tease them by asking, "Why are you getting presents? It's not your birthday." btw- MandyBlue, if you forget something, you can always use the 'Edit' button on your post if you want.

Well, I think my family can make some definite Christmas plans. Everything's been so up in the air. We are going to have our normal Christmas Eve with my side of the family. Everyone comes over with huge plates full of goodies and presents that we get to enjoy after a traditional family dinner of Cincinnati Chili, salad, garlic bread, and jello. I know this isn't your normal Christmas food, but we look forward to the next meal of this as soon as we finish eating the previous one. I like to eat my chili just the 3-way, but there are others in my family that will eat it the 5-way. Man! That's a plateful of food, folks. Then after everyone leaves, my parents, hubby, kids and I will get into the van and drive through a subdivision that has a Christmas light contest every year. On Christmas eve, they put out luminaries to light the pathway. Then we'll come home and spend the night around the Christmas tree. My kids can't wait. Christmas morning we'll celebrate my hubby's birthday by making cinnamon rolls and giving him his gifts. Then our Christmas day starts. We gather together in the living room where the Christmas tree is to read the Christmas story out of the Bible, usually Luke 2 and pray together. Then we do Christmas presents. We try to teach the kids that God gave us the greatest gift of His Son on Christmas day, which is why we celebrate that by giving our loved ones gifts. I can't wait to see our children's faces... talk about joy that completely fills you. I'm about to burst with anticipation now just thinking about it. After all that, we'll load up the kids in the van and all the food and Christmas presents to go to my hubby's parents to celebrate Christmas with his side of the family. They are only 30 minutes away. Whew! We've got some very big days coming up. That's okay, I can't wait! How many more days?!

Sounds like everyone has some pretty cool traditions. We just had a Christmas Ornament Decorating party at our house Saturday night with a small group of family and friends. That was a lot of fun. Christmas Eve we will be going to my in-laws house and exchanging gifts and eating dinner. Then Christmas Day with my side of the family. The day after Christmas my mother-in-law is brave enough to have a slumber party with my 2 year old and 5 other youngsters between the ages of 3 and 9 lol. I'm hoping to get snow before Christmas so we have some white stuff on the ground instead of just mud. It would be nice to take some holiday pictures in the snow with my family, 2 dogs and our horse. I hope everyone here has a great Christmas and enjoys their time with their families and friends.
