It's really too bad that they had to cut some of the deleted scenes that are included on the Season 3 DVDs. There were some where I just went, "So THAT'S how they knew!" or "I wondered about that!" They really had some difficult choices to make about which scenes to cut because some of them seriously would have added clarity to some of those "how did they get from point A to point B" moments. There's a nice season 3 recap as well as an interesting feature on the stunt team. Also a feature about H5-0's popularity outside the U.S. Quite interesting to hear it in a language other than English. Very talented actors being able to speak all those languages!  LOL! Of course, the gag reel is fun to watch; it's just short of 9 minutes. I think f-bombs must be their favorite way of expressing their displeasure when they mess up ... the core 4 AND various guest stars. AND I was happy to see that both Scott's and Alex's dogs made their annual appearance on the gag reel. Just wouldn't be the same without them. |

The DVD's are fine but if you really want to see how good this show looks and the beauty of Hawaii you should get the blu-ray version of this season. Closing shot from season one as McGarrett is booked for the murder of the Governor.

When I was on a different Five-O board that's no longer around now I used to rip all the blu-ray episodes and do screen captures for them. Among the shots from the show that I grabbed I got a lot of beautiful screen grabs from Oahu. Both of these are taken from the show.
