The scene with both GP and DDK at the van is the only one that actually confirms that both of them were filming in the same place at the same time. I rewatched the opening scene and thought the same thing. Unless they found someone with the same facial structure as DDK, that was definitely him with GP in the scene where she says she's staying. Definitely the only scene that was done with the two actors at the same time/place. It is quite possible - and probable - that everything else was filmed separately.

Interesting how many of you said first season Danny and Grover are basically the same character. True but I did like the scenes between Grover and Steve. Didn't even think that the five of them really weren't together in the first scene. But I am beginning to think that was true. And I agree Danny's dad having a midlife crisis is a set up for things to come. At least the writers are making an effort to set it up instead of it coming out of the blue.

Didn't even think that the five of them really weren't together in the first scene. But I am beginning to think that was true. And they very well may have all been all together. I'm just saying - as someone who spent many years editing - that it is just possible that they weren't. Doubtful we will ever know for sure.

OK episode...better than I thought but still makes me miss the core four....between Grace Park's alleged pregnancy and Scott Caan's over scheduling, I guess they did the best they could. Can't wait until they are all together again. I wonder if that remark about Danno's dad getting a Corvette due to a midlife crisis is setting up the episode with Danno's mom, Melanie Griffith..... Wonder if they'll do a Rizzoli & Isles, where Rizzoli's dad leaves her mom for a younger woman after a midlife crisis and has a baby with her. And there was a further complication which made that story very interesting and fun.
