BY MIKE GORDON / mgordon@staradvertiser.com The British rock band Bush will perform at next month’s Sunset on the Beach premiere of “Hawaii Five-0,” CBS announced Thursday. The outdoor concert Sept. 13 on Queen’s Surf Beach will follow the red-carpet arrival of the show’s cast and the advance screening of the new season’s first episode. Bush, comprising singer/guitarist Gavin Rossdale, guitarist Chris Traynor, drummer Robin Goodridge, and bassist Corey Britz, has recorded six albums since forming in the 1990s. The band landed numerous singles on the Billboard rock charts. Their second album “Razorblade Suitcase” was Billboard’s No. 1 album in 1996. Although the band started in London, its been hugely popular in the United States, selling more than 10 million records. Bush’s albums have gone platinum multiple times. Starting the fall TV season by giving Hawaii fans a sneak preview of “Five-0” has become a tradition for the show since it started in 2010. Each Sunset on the Beach event has attracted thousands of fans. Last year, though, CBS added a concert to the event and brought the Jonas Brothers to Hawaii for a performance. This year follows in that vein and is part of the network’s celebration of the 100th episode of “Five-0.” The cast and crew will be shooting the 100th episode the week of Sunset on the Beach and numerous studio executives will be in the islands to mark the event. Show stars Alex O’Loughlin, Scott Caan, Daniel Dae Kim, Grace Park, Masi Oka, Chi McBride and Jorge Garcia will attend. Isn't Gavin Rossdale also "Mr. Gwen Stefani?" (Y'all know what I mean! Isn't he married to her?) Nice to see that the whole cast will be there. I hope Taylor, Teilor, Dennis, and other recurring cast will be there as well and they just weren't named because they were focusing on the "opening credits" cast. |

Hi katyln yes you are right Gavin is married Stefani maybe she will be there as well. It will be nice to see the whole cast at the event.

I haven't bought my tickets yet for Hawaii so I am glad to hear of the final date for SOTB. So excited for Sept.13th and it is my birthday! Hi debraluv50 looks like you are going to have a great birthday. What date are you flying to Hawaii for SOTB. This year looks like you will see the whole cast as well. Are you planning on getting there early on the day as some fans are there all night to get a good view of the red carpet. Have a great time and can not wait too here your report on what you see and photo's. |

I am so excited to go to SOTB! I leave for Hawaii on September 10th and my hotel is 0.5 miles walk to Queen's Beach. I plan on arriving early to hold a spot. I am making a sign requesting a photo with Alex or any H50 member. The photo may or may not happen but I will be there early to take some photos. So happy to hear that Scott will be there too. I just wish Michelle Borth could be on the red carpet.
I can't think of a better way to spend my birthday than attending SOTB!

When we went 2 years ago, we stayed at a hotel right across the street from where they hold SOTB. The screen (which stays up all year round) is huge. |

I'm pretty sure there's no way to directly send a picture to this website. I don't think there's storage capability on proboards. I believe you have to have another storage site that you can link to to share a photo ... something like Instagram (don't know anything about Instagram but since people link to pics there, I'm presuming it's a storage site ... I'm still using an old Angelfire site to store pics when I want to link to them). |

I'm pretty sure there's no way to directly send a picture to this website. I don't think there's storage capability on proboards. Get your photos and upload them to a free image site like Imageshack or Photobucket and then you can link them right here on this site. |
