Something been bugging me for a while about the series premier and come to wonder that have it ever been stated that this series was to be a comic book format? Im not saying that it's wrong, just looking for a source stating that the premier if this show was intended to be a comic book format. Im doing this for a blog.

I've never seen anything that said the reboot of Hawaii Five-0 was intended to be a comic book format. However, Peter Lenkov has written comic books in the past so perhaps that's the association you've seen or heard. You may also have seen pictures of a "story board" which is done in both movies and tv when they want a visual depiction of an action sequence and they draw it up like a comic book in multiple frames. I think I saw a picture someone posted or linked to on this board quite some time back of an H5-0 story board. But as far as I know, the only relationship between the reboot and comic books is PL's past writing. For more information, you might want to ask Joekido because I know he's commented on PL's comic book past so he might know something I haven't heard of.

Strange because I always heard people say "It's meant to be a comic book format" I remember someone said that this show was to be a "Shoot em' up" premier

Strange because I always heard people say "It's meant to be a comic book format" I remember someone said that this show was to be a "Shoot em' up" premier If you ALWAYS heard people say that "It's meant to be a comic book format," then why does your first post ask if it's ever been stated that this series was to be a comic book format? You've kind of asked the question in one post (has it ever been stated?) and then answered it in your next one (you always heard people say it). I have NEVER heard that said so, clearly, we're talking to or listening to different people. What is your actual point in asking the question? If you're trying to find out if others have the same impression you do of the show, I think I can pretty safely say that the majority of the people who post here like the show far more than you do. You're the only one who posts here who has a notation under your profile picture that says, "I still believe in fixing the show," and you're the only one whose posts include a link to another board that was set up for the sole purpose of criticizing the reboot. So, really, what is the point of your question if you already seem to have your answer?

Wow Kathlyn, I told you, I'm making a blog about the series. I need to get the fact strieght. I can‛t just write "Peter Lenkov envision the series in the comic book format" people are gonna ask me for a source and I don‛t have one so I thought here I'm gonna find it. I guess I'm wrong because the answer is not here. Thanks alot Maybe the answer IS here but it's not the answer you want. Peter Lenkov, as far as any research I've been able to do (and I did research your question, looking into the history of the various attempts to bring a new H5-0 to tv), DID NOT envision the series in the comic book format. There's an answer for you. Has anyone here EVER mentioned Peter Lenkov's comic book background and suggested that they thought a particular story or action sequence or whatever may have been influenced by his comic book background ... of course they have. You only have to search the forums to find those sort of discussions from a few years back when the quality of the show, in the opinion of many who posted, had diminished. But just because someone on this board had the opinion that PL's background in comics must have influenced a particular episode, scene, stunt or whatever, doesn't mean it's correct to say that PL envisioned the series in a comic book format. You can say anything you want in a blog but if you're writing something factual and looking for someone to say that your statement is correct, as I said before, perhaps you should ask joekido as I'm sure he must be familiar with the documentation you think is out there. A search of this board will confirm that no one here has ever posted a comment that says what you want to state in your blog. The fact that you don't want to accept that as your answer says a lot about what your blog is intended to be about.
