It's been a pretty good season so far...some good stuff in all six episodes. I'd love more action scenes, more core4...but enjoying what there is. Echo what Dani said...where is my favorite character "Whoa" Fat? The highlight of this week was the helicopter/boat scene with Steve and Danny. The lowlight was the Steve/Ellie scene where they borrowed the Cialis set. The two chairs on the beach...I expected to see "when the moment is right" scroll at the bottom of the screen. Ugh. I do like Ellie though, probably because I am much like her...a current day Ellie May Clampett. Last week she talked auto lingo, this week wrangled in a fish, next date might be the rifle range competing targets at 600 yards. Steve is smitten already. The writers have always struggled making relationships work on this show...awkward. S1 Steve and S1 Catherine were perfect until Catherine quit the Navy and joined the team. It was a train wreck. I hear the choo choo with Ellie already. B-lana Sent from my iPad I think the writers struggles this year are because PL promised that they're "just friends" and the writers don't have a clue how a male and a female are "just friends" so they've turned her into a auto mechanic / fisherman so Steve can have "friendly" scenes with her without romance getting in the way. I have a male friend who I go to the movies with ... meet for dinner ... whatever ... and we've never discussed cars (except for my love of driving them very fast on a track which he thinks is crazy ... but so do most of my female friends ... I've only done it three times but WOW!) nor have we ever gone fishing. It can happen but you don't have to turn the woman into one of the guys or the man into one of the girls to do it. But, of course, as soon as one of them gave the other a kiss on the cheek as they headed their separate ways, people would think romance. So maybe it's better that she's an auto mechanic / fisherman! I really do think they're trying to keep romance out of the picture at least until something is resolve about Catherine. Steve has to acknowledge that she's gone and isn't coming back and yes, he loves her, but maybe she doesn't love him as much as she loves the adventure of searching for a boy in Afghanistan. I half expect that if we hear something of Catherine again it will be that she rejoined the Navy or became a mercenary or something that put her in the middle of the action that she missed. They really messed up the character by having her leave the Navy; they painted themselves into a corner and just didn't know how to fix the problem. If she'd remained with the Navy and become a liaison to Five-0 so she could assist them without trying to hide what she was doing, that would have been a great situation for the character. She'd have been on dry land at Pearl and that would have facilitated both the business and personal relationships.

If I just say "I don't like it" in almost every episode I post then people are going to think I'm being negetive so I have to write in reviews. How nice! Another person who hates everything about this show but still watches it just to let everyone else know how much he hates it.

I can tell from reading your reviews that there are some things you like about the show. But you're the one who said you're tired of writing full reviews. I was just trying to help by suggesting you only discuss a few points you liked or didn't like. You make it sound like to have to tell us everything that happened on the show or say you don't like it. There's a lot of in between there. If you read what others are saying, no one has really mentioned every plot point. You don't have to do that to tell us what you thought of the episode. You don't even have to tell us what you thought of every single scene we saw. Just find one or two points you want to discuss ... three or four even. You were the one who said you were tired of writing the full reviews so just trying to offer an alternate. There's a lot of room between the reviews you've been writing and "I didn't like it" (or "I did like it").

Which has now given me a headache so I think I'd better take drugs and sleep for 12 hours.

I'm sure you don't hate everything but at the same time you probably dislike more things about it than you like and if there isn't enough things to dislike about an episode I am sure you will watch it again just to find something to hate. I don't get people like you. All I do is watch the show and enjoy it. I see enough people on other boards who try to outdo each other on how much they can't stand the show because they think they can do Peter Lenkov's job better than he can or that they should be the head writer of the show because they know everything. It's TV. It's supposed to be entertaining. That's what this show is. I sure as hell don't want to waste my time judging it.

Sorry it took so long. The start with kids Trick Or Treating and we find Thomas Farrow in a butchers apron and blood on it. We see Jerry tied to chair. I wondered why Farrow would kill his associate(Lt. Colin Helms) to get Jerry to talk. It was nice later how Steve saw the shrapnel scar on Farrow and figured he was ex military. They find out he is actually Major William Corrigan and British. It took some real CSI work to figure out he didn't kill Helms. Steve and Dano repel to ship from helicopter to ship and shoot up the bad guys to find the money in a 55 gal barrel. Should have been Chin repelling with Steve. Farrow tried to make Jerry look like he was crazy. The money laundering caper was solved. It was nice it stretched over a few episodes.
Danny said his parents were Zombies over Matty's death. But being back to work helped a lot. If all knew why Danny was grieving, it would have been better(I think) to have him work with Kono and Grover, and let Chin and Steve work on Farrow. Mix up the teams and use Chin's Military background.Or have the 5 of them work the 2 cases.
The serial killing of bullies from his fathers(Sam Cole) school days to the movie Jack Knife, was interesting. It had a nice twist that the son Aaron Cole did it them and his dad for him not getting a good life. Was nice victim and former bully Brad Weiss(David, Dom Deluise son) apologized for bullying in high school. He was luckier then Teddy and Henry Chung, they died. This case was worked by Chin, Kono and Grover.
Liked Steve talking to NFL Hall Of Fame running back Eric Dickerson at the airport. Then the look on Danny's face when he saw the pictures.
I liked that ADA Ellie Clayton didn't give into the 'Gung ho Cowboys" of the H50 so easily. They needed more proof on Farrow's Book Store, money laundering and kidnapping.
Steve and Ellie fishing was nice. She got Steve to apologize for going behind her back on the warrants. Now they are even.
