I could be wrong here,.... but I thought in the original Five-0 finale episode that McGarrett only thought he had killed Wo Fat, who had clearly survived. Anyone else got a clarification/confirmation on that for us? In Nine Dragon which is not a series finale, Wo Fat escaped capture. McGarrett thought he died but had a second thought that he might not be dead

Is this the first time Steve and his Dad were in an actual scene together? Oh wait, Hookman episode when Dad told Steve how proud he is of him. I believe that's the only one I can think of, too.

I just have one word as my comment...wonderful. Alex did an awfully good job of pulling off a shirtless Steve for this epidoe.

WOW JUST WOW Alex was brilliant great acting he kicked ass. Great fight scene. I don't know if I am sad or happy that Wo Fat is dead now. Maybe Wo Fat dad will come after Steve now. Loved the scene with Steve and his dad. Loved how Steve saw his team.

You remember the interview with Lenkov for TvFanatic? I wonder if the villain is not the father Wo Fat.
TVF: Outside of Wo Fat are there some new big bads coming this season or are we focusing on Wo Fat?
PL: We’re definitely going to resolve a lot of things with Wo Fat. We’re trying to launch at least one new multi-arc villain that has a couple episode arc so we’re looking at that as sort of building a big story.

Love the episode, but have mixed feelings about the death of Wo Fat (I think he's dead). The character is so central to H5O. I can envision Wo Fats's father coming after Steve.
Steve's hallucinations were brilliant. I'm sure the writers had fun had with that.
This episode reminded me of the reasons that I've watched this show for 4 and a half seasons. Great work.

That was one trippy dream! It's sweet that Steve would dream the best for everyone's life (Danny happily married, Chin never kicked out of HPD, Kono never lost her surfing career). Well, almost everyone. Jerry's alternate life was not too happy. I did find it interesting that in Steve's dream he was protesting Danny's use of force on Hesse. Some kind of deep-seated guilt over how he's behaved? Doesn't seem likely. I hope that is the final answer on Wo Fat's relationship with the McGarretts, and that he is truly dead. It was a somewhat underwhelming reveal, but it does make sense within all the clues that have been dropped up to now (as far as I can remember). Wo Fat was a great villain, but I personally think it's time to move on to new plotlines. Awesome final fight scene. How did Steve initially get one hand free to take out the minion? Did I miss something there? Lovely to see a few familiar faces (Jenna, Sang Min, Adam). And the ending montage was a fun trip down memory lane.

I don't think we all have the patience to invest in loooooong story arcs any more. Sure, when the original show aired, there just weren't that many shows around that you would watch, so keeping tabs on a few favorites for years wasn't hard. But now, how many shows does the average person watch? You need to keep notes to remember every detail of every show. The Champ Box mystery was great fun at first, but remember how much effort it took to remember everything? After a while it just got boring because nothing was happening with it. Then it sort of came back. Then Doris had her own mystery box. Enough already, we all said. I like Wo Fat, but the story just went on a tad too long for me and sprouted too many substories. And also, most of the fans could guess what was coming up. Doris is going to be alive. Wo Fat will be related to Steve. And it took at least a year for those things to actually happen, while we'd been discussing them. So by the time they did happen, it wasn't a big surprise at all, it was more of a yawn. So it is really a shocker that Wo Fat was "adopted" by Doris? Does anyone care? Doris lost her appeal for me a long time ago, so anything related to her storyline is just boring. I don't really want her to return, and unless there are big plans for Wo Fat's father, I don't really care about him either. I'd say get something totally new going, leave Steve's family (as little as there is left) to be happy, don't have years-long stories any more. I kind of like the multi-story thing, just don't make them too long and complicated. Concentrate on the core four, they're why everyone tuned in in the first place. Sure you need new characters, but we all like the original four the most. Keep the old gems coming back if possible - how fantastic was seeing Sang Min again? I know it can't work, but if they made him a 5-0, I'd be laughing my head off every week.

I thought Doris killed his father? The CIA guy explained to Steve that Doris was supposed to kill the father but left a mess to be cleaned up when she killed the mother instead.

Fantastic episode. Loved the whole thing.
Loved the switching of Danny's and Steve's personalities. Danny going all gung ho and over the top, and Steve, aghast at everything Danny was doing.
So happy to see Sang Min back. I've missed him and his snarky comments.
YES -- Superseal Steve in action!!!!! And I suppose I should mention that I didn't mind the fact that he was shirtless for that.
At the end, when Steve asks where his father is.......the look on his face when he realizes that his father is dead.....heartbreaking. Brilliant acting on Alex's part; not only for that moment, but for the whole episode.

Really enjoyed the episode. Would like to see Doris back now that Steve knows the whole story. I wonder if Doris is going after WoFat's dad now. I know there was an episode where we saw on tape Steve's dad meeting WoFat in Jameson's office. I wonder if he knew about his wife adopting WoFat as a child. There is more to the story of Steve's dad, Joe White and Doris. I kind of want it answered.
