A very good result, although CBS virtually ignorate promotion this episode. Gave only one promo, 20-second (there was no 30-second), and it was not until Wednesday (two days before the premiere). Meanwhile, Sneak Peeks published earlier than promo.

smolek, I agree with you. I watch CBS the majority of the time and there are very few promotions of Hawaii Five-0. I am weary of the weekly promos for The Big Bang Theory and Mom. CBS should use some of that advertising money for H50. I actually met someone who thought the Jack Lord H5-0 was on CBS again! She had no idea that it was a remake in its 5th year. I was stunned by this admission. There needs to be more ads devoted to H5-0 if it is going to continue.
A side note... I am loving the Friday night slot with Blue Bloods. On these ice cold fall evenings, there is nothing better than two great police dramas set in Hawaii and New York!

Finally hit 10 million! I must say -other than the pro mos on facebook and here--I didn't see any on TV...and I watch CBS enough to know they didn't promote this episode unless they are doing it in the middle of the night. LOL. They did do lots of promos for the first 6 eps. Don't understand how the promo business works on tv though.

I kinda thought, when we started out over 10M that we might hit 13M with the plus 7 ratings. I wonder if the TNT late-night marathon showings are helping the ratings for the CBS shows. |
