They couldn't have packed any more into that episode. I thought for sure it'd be a two-parter. I'm just thankful they threw in Frank Bama for some comic relief (and he never disappoints) because I was forgetting to breathe. I really like Raphael Sbarge, but I wasn't feeling the love for his character. Glad Steve got rid of him. Steve always takes his friends on such interesting holidays. I'm thankful to Gabriel for getting rid of Coughlin. Hated him more than I hated Alexander.

This was a good episode if it was a 2 part episode it would have been great. I wish they could have spent more time on Chin.
Love Steve trying to save both members of his team at the same time. I love the scene with Steve and Nahele playing football would like to see more of this relationship Love Chin's story with being arrested by the IA Detective Robert Kneppy great actor and so mean to chin. Glad he died. I love Gabriel he has potential to become a very bad villain and he will be back for episode 5.25 to cause more trouble for Chin and the team. The phone call to Chin from him at the end Love Uncle Steve and Grace together their little talk and the big hug Steve giving Kono a hug as well Joe and Doris know all about what was going on I have decided I don't like Ellie and I hope she and Steve don't turn out to be lovers

Well-it was a good episode......but, really (REALLY!!!) should have been 2 episodes. Seems like everything on both cases was wrapped up too neatly and quickly so they could cram it all into one episode.
Not sorry to see Coughlin go---but, ewwww, what an icky way to go. Gabriel will make a good nemesis for future eps. I would have made the same decision to go after Danny first, and then Chin. Danny was in far more danger in a Colombian prison. I thought Danny would have more severe injuries after being beaten like that..... Very few scenes with Danny and Steve together in this one. Seems more and more--the two of them do more work alone than together. (Other than last week's episode).
As I think more about it, I may have more to say about it......

More time to write today.... I love how our intrepid team was able to break into the Colombian place guarded by how many? 40 soldiers? And then have the time to leisurely get rid of all the drugs, and snoop through the place to find the books handily kept by Reyes. And then lift off in the washing machine with propellers and fly back out of Colombian airspace, all without one Colombian noticing and coming to see what's going on. But yeah, that's also what I love about H50, the comicbookness of it. And yes, Danno wouldn't have been to walk after the beatings he took in the jail. I thought Monkey was going to rebreak all his ribs when she hugged him. Did I mention I loved Frank Bama being back? And we even got to hear him sing a bit. And him and Grover.... I was in sore need of some laughter by then. Steve being a daddy is sweet. Nice scene with him and Monkey too. Gone is the guy who terrified the poor kid in the elevator in S1. Speaking of Monkey, does she want to be a cop? And why is Danno thinking of marine biology? He doesn't think the sea is very safe, so why would he want his Monkey in the water? Is he remembering Gabby? She was a marine something or other, right?
I didn't quite get why the team got rid of the drugs - wasn't there something about economic instability in the US banks if the drugs didn't move? I get that Jiminy Cricket (sorry, I keep seeing Raphael Sbarge in that role) was working with Reyes so what he said wasn't true, but the economic stuff came from Joe.

Does anyone recall previously seeing the house that Grace was at? It's not Steve's and it's not the front of Danny's or Stan's and Rachel's (although it could be the back of Stan's and Rachel's but that would mean they live between two streets that are really close together ... and the architectural style is totally different). But when Steve dropped Danny off, Danny walked up to it with Grace like he belonged there. Maybe Stan and Rachel sold their house when they moved to Vegas and we just haven't been told that they moved back and bought a smaller house???
With so much to pack into this episode, I kinda thought the football scene could have been held a week; maybe added to an episode that didn't have so much going on. I DVR'd the episode and at about 44 minutes they were only just getting to Frank Bama. I actually said, out loud, to no one there, "how are they going to finish this up and show us next week's preview in 16 minutes?" I was actually thinking we were going to be seeing "to be continued" at the end even though nothing said it was part 1 of 2.
I enjoyed this episode but I really felt like they spent time setting up this good story and then they had to rush to finish it up.

I get that Jiminy Cricket (sorry, I keep seeing Raphael Sbarge in that role) was working with Reyes so what he said wasn't true, but the economic stuff came from Joe. The surveillance showed four guards and this was in a remote area so I think that was supposed to make that easier. [Cancel that 'four' as I just watched that part of the episode and they did say forty. I don't think I was listening as much as watching so I thought the visual was the number they'd mentioned. But I still think it was probably easier because of how remote it was. And they could have taken out many of them from the helicopter before they landed. Maybe...] Agree about Frank. Loved that they found a way to have him sing that wasn't contrived. And Grover is really growing on me. I still think leaving him with SWAT could have worked but I love his snarkiness. And he fits with the team. I don't think they've ever said that Grace wanted to be a marine biologist; I took that as Danny's way of saying he didn't want her to be a cop The economics of the situation were related to why they got involved several years before, I think. I'd have to go back and watch that again but as I recall, Wall Street invested in the housing 'boom' in Colombia not knowing it was really a way for laundering drug money. Then when that started to collapse because of a crackdown, the CIA got involved to see that it continued and didn't destabilize our economy because of a Colombian housing market collapse. The story about the drugs that they destroyed (and I get that they wouldn't want to turn all that over to someone to sell so they destroyed it) still has me a bit confused. Was the Colombian government really looking for it because they wanted to confiscate it ... or was Alexander the one who was looking for it? It would seem to me that if Five-0 could find the drugs in a country they don't know with just a little help from Doris, the Colombian government could have found them ... if they'd known they existed. The CIA, and Alexander specifically, were the ones working with Reyes so it makes sense that they were the ones who wanted the drugs. But if Doris is still attached to the CIA, why didn't she give them the intel on the drugs ... unless she was trying to make points with Steve by helping him rescue Danny ... and she was in on that whole thing from the beginning. After all, how did Joe know that Danny was in trouble? Doris had to have told him so she knew all about it before it happened.

I just watched this episode and i thought it was good but rushed. I understand Danno felt guilty about shooting Reyes on some level but it didn't make sense that he waived extradition...I guess there was the implied threat to Monkey but he has resources to protect her. There were many scenes that should have happened but didn't including how they did what they did in Columbia....would have loved to see Danno's face when McG showed up at the prison...Monkey looks like she is growing-she is getting tall-she will be taller than Danno any moment now....I did like that that Momma McG helped out...wonder if she will show up for the season(hopefully not series) finale....

Haven't watched it again, but I thought that when asked about Grace, someone said she was staying with "" I couldn't understand it at the time, so I took it to be a friend's house. That would explain the strange/different house.
I agree, as I watched I kept thinking it was going to end up "to be continued" - things were definitely wrapped up very quickly. I would guess there will be many deleted scenes for this episode when the DVD comes out. Amazing how some of those deleted scenes aren't necessarily missed when watching on live TV, but when seen on the DVD they add so much to the episode they were left out of - enhancement/knowledge after the fact.

On my second time through I caught this: when Steve is talking to Chin (before he finds IA leaning on his Mustang), Chin asks about Grace and Steve says that Max was taking her to Rachel's. So, presumably, Stan and Rachel did sell the larger home and buy a smaller one for when Rachel returns to Hawaii for her time with Grace.
