I know papa Noshimuri is dead, I thought it was an old photo and Gabriel was hinting that papa and his ways are still alive with Adam. But yes, it has to be someone from the yakuza, otherwise, what's the big deal. Guess Kono can kiss her wedding goodbye, unless Adam is being set up. And with Adam gone, Kai can try his luck again.
The whole pizza thing was stupid. Yes it got a bit of a laugh, but there must have been other ways to get a laugh. Who carries pizza for 10 hours or so in a plane (didn't know it was even possible) and then eats them? Even under normal circumstances (no planes involved), a pizza ceases to be appetizing after 10 hours just sitting there. Why make such a big deal of the pizzas, and then we never even saw anyone eat them?
The fact that Grover seems to be taking over BFF spot worries me, in conjunction with horrible rumours I've heard about Waffling Rachel coming back, having decided to ditch Hubby #2 and claiming the baby is, after all, Danno's. Sounds like Scott wants to exit and so Danno will leave Hawaii with Monkey and Waffling Rachel and whoever's baby. Really hope not. For one thing, I loathe the idea of Danno going back to the ex who can't make up her mind on which hubby she wants to be with, but much worse, no Danno would leave a huge hole which not even Grover's impressive build can fill.

The writers have put Steve and Grover together a lot lately, which worries me, too. Although I have grown to accept Grover - somewhere between 'tolerate' and 'semi-like' - there is no way he can replace Danny.
As for Rachel's return --- Gag!

The writers have put Steve and Grover together a lot lately, which worries me, too. Although I have grown to accept Grover - somewhere between 'tolerate' and 'semi-like' - there is no way he can replace Danny. As for Rachel's return --- Gag! At 5.20 there was a lot of scenes because Scott was not on the set. At 5.21 because Scott was not on the set in the first days of the shooting, then he was already on the set. In 5.22, 5.24 and 5.25 will be a slew of scenes Steve and Danny. Easy. |

Finally managed to watch this episode. I liked it especially having them all in it this week. But I did have the feeling Scott did not want to be there. There were more scenes with Alex and Chi McBride together which I don't mind (and have been over the season) but would have been Alex and Scott.
Loved Jerry's singing. When I'm impressed I get goosebumps and that happened. Listened a few times to him.
Liked the ending as eager to see what's in store for Chin Gabriel Kono and Adam

In addition to 4 episodes, in which Scott was not, it certainly episode 5.03, 5.16, 5.18, 5.20. Maybe 5.04, but I'd have to double check. And given the fact that in 5.22, 5.24 and 5.25 will be a lot of scenes Steve-Danny, so surely there will be more scenes than Steve-Danny than Steve-Grover in 5 season. Anyway, some people wondered why Grover joined the Five-0, I wrote that before the start of Season 5, and it turned out to be probably true. Due to Scott Caan, which is not always on set. |

I agree on some points. I thought the storyline picked up once it shifted gears. I didn't mind the Elvis storyline and I thought Jerry had a great voice. I look forward to the next few episodes but it does mean a long summer without.
I do believe the writing is on the wall and if the show does come back, I dont think we'll see Scott Caan. He's barely in on investigations and they seem to be emotionally pairing Grover with McGarrett. I agree I don't like the pairing of Lou and Steve-I like the yin-yang of Danno-Steve. They perfected the bromance and the Lou /Steve pales by camparison. I obviously like the Danno character(for the most part) but I also love McGarrett's role and the Ohana and that's why I love this show. We have talked about this before but they have diluted the Core four with so many cast additions that we hardly get true C4 moments anymore. I wish the producers really understood that. I also understand and its been my impression from the beginning that neither Grace Park or Scott Caan want to really be in the show and they needed filler people to lessen their time on screen....:-(
I almost hope this is the last year because I don't think I can consistently watch the show w/o original Core Four....
I also hope I am very wrong....

Always glad to see a GB&U list, and I can tell we think alike. I, too, expected Kono to take that shot, and nice of her to compliment Steve the way she did. Something tells me we all have a car, or other item, we could have back. Oh what I wouldn't give for a '56 Vet! Such a valid point about Grover being a large man. He makes Steve seem so small, the way we used to compare Steve and Danny. You are also right that PL should have figured that one out. |

My first thought, when I heard that he was joining Five-0, was that he was an imposing man who'd run SWAT. They both have that 'command' personality. I keep expecting to hear Steve ask 'What do you think, Lou?' or hear Lou start giving commands. It just doesn't seem right when they're paired together or when Steve tells him to go off and do ... something ... whatever... |

As always...kidding around, but I really hope we get a SuperSeal Steve episode before the end of the season. Please, please, please. B-Lana  An entire episode revolving solely around the SuperSEAL. Aaaahhh. |
