But, I would expect to see 5-0 promos during NCIS and similar shows.

Hawaii Five-0 exceptionally was emitted at 22:00, and therefore it was only 1.0. Rarely on the audience Hawaii Five-0 season 5 was influenced a storyline or actor. The best example is the 100 episode (only 1.2, and below 9 million, and I remember that this season Hawaii Five-0 have several times 1.4, and 1.5, and several times 10 million). The biggest impact on the audience is whether the show is aired with The Amazing Race or Undercover Boss.

This is disappointing. I can't imagine staying away based on promos or the fact that a particular character will be in the episode.
