Another great episode. Case of the week gained a lot of linking with Gabriel. I very liked the scenes with the Five-0 team trying to stop the killers. Besides great boxing scenes in the episode. I really liked also the scenes in the house McGarrett. It was nice to see again Larry Mannetti as Nicky "The Kid" DeMarco. Gabriel trying destroys the competition, he has become really great villain. As I thought they abandoned the already the storyline Adam & Gabriel, and now focus on Gabriel and his developing business and his battle with Five-0, which seems to me to be a good decision, because from the storyline of Adam & Gabriel squeezed's probably all they can . What to Adam I think that he didn't spend those 18 months in prison, and in a while charges have been cleaned or something like that, and he go free.
Behind us 10 episodes, and now the show goes on break (return January 8). How far is great! I'm very happy. We have a great main storyline of the season with Gabriel, making this season so good. Tv hows at the present time drives the main storyline of season, the same is with Hawaii this season. And since season 2 finally we have a season, which is strongly related with the villain, I missed that in recent seasons. Who would have thought that Gabriel will become so great villain. Really they found a good successor of Wo Fat.

... Mind on battling the Christmas shoppers today... Haha, no H50 villain is as terrible as holiday shoppers!!! I wasn't able to watch yesterday due to the dreaded Christmas office party. Very fairy tale-ish episode, all in all. Good poor boy boxer makes good, beats the villain with the hidden heart of gold against all odds. Very heart warming. Too bad I really hate boxing so really didn't care much for the main story. I mostly watched for the background and was happy with it - the ohana getting together to watch the fight (why?) at Steve's place.... Max, cute as always ... praying in Yiddish was great. Although the whole Konad story is getting old for me, the scene at the temple was beautiful. Gabriel is quite the ambitious guy - he wants to be evil overlord of everything??? I always wonder why bad guys want to take over everything - what are they going to do with it and the gazillion problems they'd be responsible for? I really thought Gabriel was in league with Shioma to kill off the competition, so I didn't think he'd kill the old guy. When Shioma did get shot, I was looking forward to him recovering and getting rid of Gabriel. Miserable Christmas ahead for Konad. But it allowed for another heartwarming shot, the ohana comforting Kono.

Well--I finally got a chance to watch the episode. I liked it....boxing is not a favorite thing of mine, but as I recall -there were a couple of boxing episodes in the original H 5-0--so it does make sense to have it in the re-boot.
I liked the ohana moments--I liked the scene at the temple-and again, if I remember correctly --the original 5-0 filmed some scenes there, too. I liked Max doing the Hanukah thing at the beginning. Gabriel is a really bad guy....wow. Jerry didn't bother me as much in this ep. He is good at tech back-up at HQ.
I think Adam has been red shirted. And it would not surprise me if Kono finds herself pregnant.
All in all a good solid ep.

I have to admit I wondered the same thing because I wondered if her clothes were supposed to look they might be hiding something. Just the cut of the clothes, I guess, because pics from later episodes don't give that impression ... yet. Could they do that? Could Kono be Five-0 with a small child? It would be a valid reason for the character to depart ... not that I'm suggesting that but we were talking elsewhere about the number of years on the actors' contracts.

I mean she might be pregnant just on the show--not real life. I hadn't noticed anything about the clothes she was wearing.....shall have to re-watch! If Adam is killed in prison and she does have a child...it could be a reason for her to quit 5-0 and take time off until the child is older. Yeah--contract talks should be interesting this year...sounds like Alex's contract changed--maybe around the time Scott renegotiated his contract....I think they all started with 7 year deals. If nothing else it will be an interesting year.....if this is the last season, they have a lot of story lines to tie up. Including what is going on with Catherine--surely they will tie up the mystery they started.....
