CBS confirmed that The Good Wife end after season 7. I think that almost certain will be a season 7 of Hawaii Five-0. The Good Wife, CSI: Cyber, and Person of Interest end after this season. Cancellation of Code Black is also certain. In midseason debut Rush Hour and Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, I think that one of them will be canceled. Probably Rush Hour, because this tv show will be in Thursday's schedule, and will be hard to achieve a good audience (Elementary this season fatally doing there). Besides, CBS never canceled more than 2 veterans tv shows in one season. So I think that this season it will not nervous situation like last year, and to 100% will be the next season of Hawaii Five-0.

I kind of agree with you because H5-0 is doing very well for a Friday night show. Anything moved there or a new show that starts out there couldn't be presumed to be as reliable. The only thing that would concern me is if more than one person from the main cast decide they want to depart. It was originally presumed that everyone started out with a seven-year contract, which is pretty standard. But knowing that contracts have been renegotiated makes me wish I knew more about the terms of the new contracts. For example, did Scott agree to more years if they'd give him a certain number of episodes off each year? You rarely get only what you want in a contract re-negotiation ... so was there an incentive for CBS to give him that time off? Knowing only that Scott has fewer episodes without knowing the other side of it has me cautiously optimistic about a seventh season. But I do agree that your logic about what else is being cancelled and past history is a very good argument for H5-0 being around for another season.

Plus you need Alex to sigh a new contract for the 7 season for this to work. I think we would have heard something by now in the press if Alex has a new job and not returning to Five 0

Alex said in that interview that he wants to renew the contract, so it is just a formality it happens. I think that both Scott and Grace will be in 7 season, if CBS indeed ordered next season. For several years, we worry that Scott will leave the show, but he still in it. The next season, I think it will be the same.
PS. From new interview with Alex. Looks like Scott want to still be in Hawaii Five-0. "Scott wants to be here more than anyone but that comes down to his schedule. He’s got his family now, he gets to go home to see his lady and his little bubba ... he’s found his rhythm now, you know.”

I love your optimism. Hoping CBS thinks the same way! For a Friday night show, it IS out-performing other shows during the week that it logically shouldn't be out-performing. If we do get a season 7, fingers crossed that the core four will all be returning.

Here is another reason we may get season 7 variety.com/2016/tv/news/cbs-leslie-moonves-stock-investor-day-presentation-1201731691/Moonves and Co. also talked up the strength of the pipeline at CBS for worldwide content sales. Even lower-profile CBS series like “Hawaii Five-0” and “Elementary” have generated some $3 million-$3.4 million per episode strictly in international sales — making them profitable virtually from day one. CBS projected its total international revenue will rise from about $1.5 billion last year to $2.3 billion by 2020. That projection also ensures — fair warning to its Hollywood studio rivals — that CBS will make every effort to own every inch of its prime-time schedule in order to hit that target.

If we do get a season 7, fingers crossed that the core four will all be returning. For sure this year I'm more confident about next season than a year ago. Three drama tv shows will end after this season having more than one season. And CBS never canceled more than 2 vetarans tv show in a one year. So it makes no sense to cancel H50. Probably this year again decision will be announced in May. Of course, it's probably typical response for all tv shows of CBS. But just like a year ago, CBS has two new tv shows debuting in March. So May is most likely.
