Awesome episode. The best episode in season 7. A lot of action, a lot of cool scenes with Danny in the episode, and great guest actors: Lori Petty (Orange Is the New Black) as a nurse and Michael Paul Chan (Major Crimes) as Captain Tanaka. I always love when we have episodes with flashbacks about members of Five-0. This time, we have Danny, we see him before the first meeting with Steve, and before joining to Five-0. We meet Meka, Danny's partner in HPD, who was killed in the episode 1.08. And just like in season 1, this episode is also connected with the Ochoa cartel. It's cool to see a little more Danny as an HPD detective, because the pilot has not shown us that much. This is the second episode, which is happening right before the pilot. Before it was the episode 3.20, when Steve grabbed Anthony Hess, and when Steve's friend Freddie died. The end of the episode shows that thanks to Five-0, Hawaii has become Danny's home. The scene when Danny talks about the Five-0 members is definitely one of the best scenes in the episode.

Not a favourite episode for me
Not a Scott/Danny fan not enough Steve or the team in this episode
So Steve saves the day again, Papers the walls, Builds the car, Uses the team to find and save Danny's ass, runs into the house to get the bad guys and babysits. What dose Danny do no THANKYOU or any NICE words from him at all. Piss me off that Danny is so nasty and not very nice please stop insulting Steve.
The one cute thing I liked was Steve and Charlie Alex is so good with kids.

Of course I thought it was a great episode. It reminded me of the 9/11 show-how it came full circle. This easily could have been the last episode of the series-thank God it's not though. While I would have liked a bromance hug moment too, I liked that they reminded the audience what a good detective/cop Danno is. I liked that he is realizing that this is his home, and that it seems he will put retiring and opening a restaurant off the table for now...As usual, over-the-top bullets flying(and no one was even grazed??) and just action packed. I loved how Uncle Steve loves Charlie like Grace. I did think coma guy was going to wake up but maybe another episode. Also a shout out to the nurse- as a nurse myself I loved the way they portrayed her-smart and caring and she didn't have to have big boobs or long luxurious hair....

I'm not a Danny Williams fan but did enjoy this episode. As it was Danny centric I did not expect Steve to be in it all the time the rest of the ohana was in it even less. Loved Steve and Charlie scene.

I enjoyed the episode. I don't particularly like eps where Danny and Steve and the team are all working separate parts. But, it still was a very good ep. I do prefer Steve centric episodes.......The Charlie and Steve scenes were adorable!!

The Good --- * Danny throwing away the directions, like most men do. Steve nagging Danny about throwing away the directions, like most wives would do. Steve putting together the bed, even though I did not see the directions in the shot. Steve telling Charlie that his dad built the bed for him with his own two hands. Good job Uncle Steve.
* Scott Caan showing up to do his job as an actor... ya know, the one he gets paid to do. And I'll even give him extra kudos for going above and beyond to give us a Danny-centered episode.
* Flash backs scenes and the way they tied to the murder case of John McGarrett and therefor Steve and Danny's meeting for the first time. Well done. Bonus points for the tie!
* Bitchy S1 Rachel. The way that woman can rile Danny up, even if she did so only via phone, was spot-on.
* Danny telling Steve that he can ignore previous instructions not to drive like a mad-man.
* Bad guys eating the grill of Steve's truck.
* Charlie getting tucked in by Uncle Steve.
* Danny admitting to Makino that he'd come to realize that Hawai'i was now his 'home', although he did struggle a big with the word.
* Captain Tanaka telling Danny not to open a restaurant. Wise words. Although I doubt it will detour Danny from wanting to retire.
* Actually glad the coma vic did not wake up at the end, that would have just been too predictable.
* Will give a huge "Ditto!" to Binda23's words about nurses.
The Bad --- * Math. I don't know about the rest of you viewers, but I was always pretty good at it. So,... it was Grace's first day of school in the pilot episode - which by how little she was, I always assumed was kindergarten, although possibly first grade - so she was probably 5, 6 at the most. We were told this cold-case was 7 years old, hence it now being S7, so Grace is now 12, 13 at most. Hmm. I don't recall going to high school formals while still in junior high at 12-13 years old.
* Not quite enough Chin and Kono, although they did have important roles to play in taking down the bad guys.
* The way Scott Caan holds a gun. Danny is a good cop. Danny is a wise detective. But as a good cop and wise detective, he is crappy at holding a gun and always looks unsure of himself. I remember an interview with Caan where he talks about that, but I can't remember what he said.
The Ugly --- Can't think of anything that fits in this category.
