I can't help but wonder if Grace Park might show up in a episode or two to close out her story. With the recent pictures of her visiting the set ... and the fact that we've all heard what DDK has had to say about leaving H5-0 but Grace has been pretty quiet about it ... and, to visit the set she had to leave her home in Vancouver, which we all know is a place she prefers ... I just wonder if all that means she might have been meeting with PL or others about an appearance or two.
Did anyone else think the pictures meant we might see her? Or do you think she just decided to vacation in Hawaii so she could stop by and say "hi" to the cast and crew?

I don't know if Grace will be in any season 8 episodes. We have seen more photo's of Grace in Hawaii now that she is not filming than when she was. Grace has been seen lots of times with friends since filming season 8 started. Makes me think she did not want to leave the show but could not get the deal she wanted to be in less episodes and as Grace is visiting the set she is on good terms with everyone and no hard feels. Peter is not in Hawaii at the moment so no meeting with him.

I have feeling that she may come back for a few episodes. In one of interviews, Peter said: "Hoping we can wrap up the Kono story at some point, which is one reason we're very excited to have Ian Anthony Dale returning". Besides when news about leaving appeared, in interview Grace seemed open to the possibility to return at some point in season 8 to wrap up their stories. “That’s one of the things that’s up in the air,“I would love to and I have ideas of that, and we’ve been talking story points, but unfortunately amongst storytelling, there’s also business. It’s called show business. That’s part and parcel of this industry.”. Now a few days ago visited the set. If anyone would come back from this two actors, it would seem to be Grace.

I was wondering why GP was there. I think she might return. It would be nice to wrap up her story. We will have to wait and see

From new interview with Peter it looks like Grace is more likely than Daniel You mentioned that Chin and Kono will be acknowledged. What did you want to honor about those characters in the premiere? We explain where they are. I’m not sure it would make any sense to not acknowledge them not being on the show, so we do very early on at least talk about where Daniel’s character is and then later, we talk about where Grace’s character is. We talk about them for a little while in the first batch of episodes. Their presence still exists and we still acknowledge that they were a big part of our family. We find ourselves talking about them every now and then, and it feels very organic. We’re not moving on as if they never existed. In regards to how often, is it a matter of what makes sense organically? It becomes a bigger deal when Adam comes back into the show, because we have to acknowledge the fact that him and Kono are not in the same place and why is that? So we start bringing her up again. I’m hoping one day that, after Grace spends some very good quality time with her family, maybe we could get her back on the show someday. What are the realistic chances you see of having Daniel and Grace back one last time? I never say never. I think there’s always that possibility. As long as they’re alive in our world, I think anything can happen. In the premiere, Chin is revealed to have accepted the job in San Francisco leading his own task force and Kono is said to be on the mainland shutting down a sex trafficking ring. Were these endpoints where you envisioned these characters ending up at the end of the series? Especially with Daniel’s character, Chin, I had always hoped that he would get his own task force one day. He was on a trajectory when he was in the police department as somebody who would be a leader. I think everything that happened in his life, losing his badge and getting it back, I always thought it would be nice for him to have his own task force and taking everything he’s learned under McGarrett and Five-0 to take that in a different state. That was always an endgame that was going to happen at some point, it just happened earlier when Daniel decided to leave. With Grace, [her] story is still yet to be finished so it’s still open for me. www.etonline.com/exclusive-hawaii-five-0-boss-says-were-telling-our-best-stories-season-8-addresses-cast-exits-88274
