Great and intense episode. I am glad that most of the scenes we had in a different place at sea on a boat. There were many great scenes. Especially McDanno scenes. But all scenes I liked. Have I already said how I adore Tani? I do not remember that in the season 8 of any show, some character has entered in the series in such a way as if she was there from the beginning, she so natural, with everyone she has chemistry, and perfectly fits to the team.

Couldn't agree with you more about Tani! She really stepped into the role like she'd been there already. Given her history that she almost completed the police academy, it makes sense that she's comfortable being a part of Five-0. I really like her! I kinda thought, at the beginning, that we were going to see her have a flirtation with Danny ... then I thought Junior ... and now I think that's just the way her character is going to be. Comfortable with everyone. Willing to tease but knowing when to be serious. Great character!

So--I've been thinking about this ep---why didn't they have the Coast Guard tow the party boat they were on into the harbor? They still would have been quarantined on the boat.....and, it would have been safer to get the antidote to them-even in the storm. But then--it wouldn't be as exciting as it was written......!

I did wonder about that and decided it was probably because they couldn't be sure if the toxin could be carried as a windborne toxin and affect people on land. Since the next episode seems to follow on the heels of this one (with the same four in what appears to be quarantine), I wouldn't be surprised to hear that the boat was burned (or otherwise destroyed) to keep the toxin from spreading. If everyone onboard was already dead well before Five-0 got to the boat and then they were still infected, it had to be a really potent toxin. So I figure that would be the explanation ... they didn't know how much of a risk it would be if the boat was close to a populated area so that wasn't considered an option.
