I watch because I wanded to see how Alex directed this episode and it was not only about Danny as well
Good episode it could have been better if the writers only concentrated on 2 story lines instead of 3. Writers should have cut the stupid story line with Junior and Tani on the beat as uniformed officers then they could have helped with the Adam Story then we would have had more time with these 2 story line.
Congratulations to Alex who did a excellent job at directing this episode with so much going on as well with 3 story line and action. I hope he gets to do more in season 9 if we get it. Plus we had more Steve in this episode than I thought we would which was good.
Loved Steve playing the Guitar with Frank there. Love all the Steve and Grover working together Loved how Steve took down Jessie Adam story could have been better right from the start and not so boring if Five 0 was involved from the beginning and working all together. So Adam has a half sister? I liked all Danny flash backs and the one where he met Rachel the first time all ways wanted to see that one. Danny how unprofessional of him getting romantically involved with the woman he was helping. I think Danny likes getting involved with married women that 3 that we know off. Happy to see Rachel back we need to see more of her would love her to get back with Danny. Nothing about the restaurant which was good
I still don't like Tani and Junior is ok. I don't like them as a couple not much chemistry

Great episode. I liked all three storylines. Danny's was the best one. I was waiting for a solution who tried kill Danny in episode 8.10. They did a great job with rejuvenating Danny in flashbacks. I liked Brooke and her chemistry with Danny. It was also nice to get the first meeting with Rachel, which was mentioned several times in the past.
Storyline with Adam has been interesting. Finally we know identity this new player. For some time I suspected that it may be Adam's mother, it turned out that it was his sister. Tani and Junior storyline was good. Their scenes were cute and funny. And more we learned about Tani and Junior past. Alex did great as a director. I suspect this is not the last time.

The best thing about this episode was that you couldn't tell that it was a first-time director. Alex did a good job of giving us a steady Hawaii Five-0 episode that didn't scream "look at all the amazing things I can do as a director." I'll admit that I was disappointed that we didn't get a Steve / Danny scene in the episode. I was hoping to see them play off each other to see if Alex's direction made a difference in what we're used to from them.
In regard to Danny's involvement with Brooke, I'm not sure it was actually a romantic relationship. We saw Danny thinking about that as he drove away from her house after she said she was moving away. But I had the impression that was wishful thinking about something Danny knew he couldn't do. As a police officer, he had to know how dangerous it would be to get involved with someone he was trying to help. The fact that he told Ray he was the one Brooke was sleeping with seemed designed only to get Ray to attack a police officer as other officers arrived. I had the impression that Danny was lying so Ray would end up in jail and Brooke would be safe.

Enjoyed this episode. Alex did a good job. All the stories flowed. Loved the camera angles. He was in it more than I though he would be.
