The first of two episodes in a row about Steve background in this one maybe some flashbacks hopefully when he was in the NAVY with his friend looking forward to watching this episode

“Aia i Hi‘ikua; i Hi‘ialo” – McGarrett crosses the line and is arrested while investigating the death of his former SEAL buddy, who died while making an emergency landing on an aircraft carrier, and the only survivor is a baby. Also, Adam returns to Oahu with some devastating news about his marriage, on HAWAII FIVE-0, Friday, Nov. 2 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Good episode apart from a couple of things
The Good first
Love it when the story is about Steve up front and looking to clear his friends name and trying to find out how he died. Alex is so good with his emotions and won't let anyone try to stop him find out what happened not even a NCIS Agent Warren who arrested him but had to let him go when she got the letter of immunity from the Govenor.
Loved that the whole team was helping Steve with this case
I loved that Duke took Steve advise and got his job back plus Steve was there when Duke started work a lot of respect between them.
Loved the scene with Jerry and Grover trying to get into the NCIS Hanger to look at the plain I think the NICS Agent know something was not right.
Too many dead bodies in that house
Glad they found the baby
The Bad
Giving Adam a badge he has no experience being a cop plus he has been in prison and a killer in cold blood. How can Steve and Danny be ok with Kono and Adam splitting up just like that after all they have been through the last 6 season of every thing happening to them. I found it a bit iffy one min Adam was very up set then Danny offered him the job and he was very happy. now we have 6 men and 1 woman on the team
Tani is now in a big black hole. She still dose not trust Steve at all, lying to Steve as well going on to long with this stupid gun story which looks like someone has planted in Adam house. The answer is who. They really have to clear Adam name if he is going to be on the team. Plus Steve dose not no anything about this which looks bad.

Awesome episode. The action, tension, and a great crime of the week. Everything was good. And agent Emma is a great character, I like her very much. I hope we will see her again. There is potential for a good relationship with Steve. She definetely is much better than Lynn. Alex did a great job in episode. Good we meet another character from the past Steve from the Navy. But it is a pity that he is dead.
Adam is back. And I think decision with Kono it's right. It's the second season when we do not have Grace on the show, and second season when Ian is in the regular cast. It would be very hard to keep the marriage and not have Grace. So they had to make a hard but right decision. About Adam joinig to Five-0. I like this, because I've had enough of a separate storyline in almost every episode in the previous season, although it looked good in some of the episodes. When Adam acted with Five-0, it always looked good. It will be nice to watch him in relations with Five-0. Regarding the criminal past, well, it does not bother me so much, it's just a show, not a real life, so I'll turn a blind eye to it. And for years, Adam showed that he was a good man and helped Five-0 more than once.
As regards Adam, one of the fans wrote this, and it shows that Adam is good man and how much did for Five-0:
Just a reminder that while his family was majorly involved in the yakuza Adam was of living his clean, good life until Five-0 came along. After that his dad was killed, he killed his brother to defend Kono, was forced to go on the run, surrendered himself to the yakuza to save Kono's life, legitimized his family business and then sold it to totally cut ties with the yakuza, was kidnapped & forced to give up all his $ by a Five-0 enemy, was sent to jail after killing in self defense as a result of losing the money. During the same time period he never failed to help the team when he could: giving the team the intel on Wo Fat that led to them finding McGarrett, going to Mexico to help save Chin, agreeing to help McG with an organized crime problem that resulted in him being kidnapped, tortured & (my assumption) being framed For murder.

I have been thinking what Adam will do now with his five 0 badge. I think Adam story arc for the rest of season 9 will use the five 0 badge with Tani to find out who planted the gun and who killed his half sister if Adam is not the one that has done that. I expect it will all be done behind Steve back as Tani dose not trust Steve at all. If it all goes wrong and Steve finds out by someone I hope he kicks them off the team for lying to him.

I think if Tani doesn't trust anyone, it's Adam. I don't think she doesn't trust Steve. I think she was concerned that if she took the gun to Steve and it turned out that Adam (who she perceives as being a good friend of Steve's) used it to kill someone, Steve will be angry at her for getting Adam in trouble. You could be correct about her trying to solve it behind Steve's back IF she believes Adam and knows that Steve will as well, but it would a lot easier for them to investigate with Steve's assistance rather than trying not to let him know what they're doing. They both do, after all, work for him and he's in charge of what they do so it would be to their advantage to have him and 5-0 helping them. |
