So this maybe won't be a popular opinion ... but the writers need to decide if they want to write an episode of Seal Team or an episode of Hawaii Five-0. To me, another SuperSeal episode is another wasted filler episode. I didn't even bother letting it finish recording before I deleted it from my DVR. I can't even admit to being sorry Joe died because I wouldn't bet against seeing him in a future flashback to yet another mission that puts Steve's life in danger.

AWESOME, EMOTIONAL. INTENSE AND EXCITING AND VERY SAD EPISODE the best episode this season
I will miss Joe I loved his character and chemistry with Steve, loved all the scene they did in all 9 seasons really sad they killed him off another fav character gone.
Alex was Awesome and amazing tonight with all his emotions and acting skills and through his eye that tells the emotional story that gets you to believe what is happening on screen. Loved the fight scene at the beginning Where was Eddie Agent Greer is a cold-hearted bitch and now she has escaped Loved Steve on horse back looked great Loved all shoot out at the Ranch I like Cole but that was a mistake as he ended up dead Loved the flashbacks with young Steve and Joe showing the surrogate father and guardian angle to Steve I cried at Joe death scene Alex just rocked this scene made it believable what was happening
I will miss Joe I hope we get loads of flashbacks with Joe in
This story arc will continue after Christmas break so not a filler episode but Steve life

So the person behind all this trouble for Steve it's HASSAN do you remember he is the one who took NAJAB IN Afghanistan in episode 4.21. So now it is personal to Steve and Catherine nice connection of old story to new story line. So this could be why Steve and Catherine team up next episode for revenge I love how this has come around

I like Joe but the reason I said I can't admit to being sorry he died is because the way they're writing the series I know we'll see him again in flashbacks. So I won't miss him because I don't believe the character is gone. Steve's father died in episode 1.1 but we've seen him several times since then. So just because someone is gone doesn't mean we won't see him again. As far as the focus of the episode, regardless of how well acted, it's NOT about Hawaii Five-0. That's what I don't like about this episode. It would have made more sense if it was an episode of Seal Team.

Hope Steve takes Joe's advice and doesn't wait to long to get in a serious relationship (with Cath, of course) Do you think we will see Doris again? She was close to Joe so there should be some mention of her.

I enjoyed this episode. Too bad they couldn't actually film in Montana. Sorry to see Joe go....but, he could be a pain in the neck a lot of times....wonder if we will see Doris again.

Also-where was Eddie in the opening scene where Steve was getting attacked? And--Jerry was not in this episode.

One of my favorite episodes ever. Sad to see Joe go but I think they handled it very well with this story line. Somehow Montana in Hawaii was harder to take than Wisconsin winter in Hawaii (rescue of Alicia's daughter from the serial killer)!
