After the finale.. Great episode with action and team work. Although the promotional photos spoilered me that Aaron will be captured by Five-0. I feel sorry for the Junior, though I expected it.
As for the cliffhanger. Looks like my theory was right, and Jerry is that person. I thought they would show a wounded person in this cliffhanger who would be on the verge of life. But they showed otherwise that it was Steve or Jerry who were shot (probably) dead so that people would wonder who would die. Even though most of them are pointing to Jerry anyway. So it looks like Jerry will die (why would they introduce a new character if Jerry somehow survived?). The death of an important character is always sad, especially when he is a Five-0 member. This will be the first situation in Hawaii Five-0, for me me that I need it because something like that was not there, and it introduces great potential for a great storyline (Steve will certainly feel guilty about it). And it shows that they are also people and they are not indestructible. It looks like Steve will be saved by Jerry so it will be a heroic death, he saved his friend, mentor and idol. I think that in such series as the Hawaii Five-0, meaning lasting many years, changes every few years come out on good for show. That was the case with Tani and Junior who introduced a lot of freshness in the season 8. Now it seems that this new character announced by Peter will replace him. Jerry has undergone a great change in the series from the conspiracy theorist hiding his mother's basement to a full-fledged team member who saves the day. He became a really great character.
I think we can find out that Jerry died before September. When the premiere of the season 10 will be broadcast, about 8 episodes will be filmed, and if none of the photos from the set will be Jorge Garcia will be suspicious. Promotional photos will also be posted for the first 1-2 episodes, so his absence will also be suspicious. His absence at Sunset on the Beach will also be suspicious because he has been there every year since joining the regular cast. In addition, there will be a news casting with a new character, and if there will be something about hacking/computer skills, it will also be confirmed by Jerry's death and the departure of Jorge Garcia. I wonder if Jerry's likely death is Peter or Jorge's decision. Did Jorge decide to leave the series, or Peter just wanted to kill the character. It seems to me that the first option. When it comes to a new character, I hope it will be a woman because there are not many women in the show, the majority are men.

Jerry has undergone a great change in the series from the conspiracy theorist hiding his mother's basement to a full-fledged team member who saves the day. He became a really great character. I think we were right about it being Jerry. It sounded to me (after listening to it at least four times) that Jerry was the one who yelled "GUN!" He was behind Steve but walking towards him so he was able to see her pull the gun out of her son's backpack. And I think it sounds like Steve who says, "Oh my god..." as the screen goes blank. So that sounds to me like Steve is reacting to something that happened to someone else ... i.e., Jerry. If it is Jerry who yelled "GUN!" it caused Steve to start to turn around so his back wasn't presented to her. It made him a smaller target and that would be why Jerry was hit instead. So, yeah, I think Steve would feel guilty about that. I'm not sure that I see it as heroic but if that is what happened because of what Jerry did, it would have definitely saved Steve's life. I actually don't it's even debatable if it was Steve or Jerry who was hit. We know Alex already signed a contract for S10 so they're not going to kill him off. So if someone dies, the only other person in the line of fire was Jerry. It looked like Danny (I'm presuming him as he was the only one behind her) came at her from behind after Jerry alerted them to the gun. I don't think I heard more than one shot so at least in the brief bit we saw/heard, it doesn't seem like anyone fired back at her. I'm guessing they're going to play it as she was captured rather than shot; I just have a hard time seeing them shoot her in front of her son. Obviously, a normal reaction would be to pull a gun and shoot her; think about how fast Steve and Danny had their guns out when Sang Min showed up during the sarin episode. But since those reactions are based on what writers write, I'm expecting that they will not shoot her in front of her son because the writers had time to think that was a bad idea. Just a guess... With the appearance of the gun, I'm wondering if we're going to find that it was made by a 3-D printer. It was white and I believe that's what it would look like from a 3-D printer. How else would she have gotten the weapon into the Palace. I know it was in her son's backpack but I'd expect everything to at least go through a metal detector as people enter the facility. So something from a 3-D printer makes sense as far as getting it into the Five-0 offices. As for why kill off Jerry, I've gotta believe that PL would not just decide to get rid of the character. I've gotta figure that Jorge wanted to move on so PL had it written as their cliffhanger for S9 to explain his absence in S10. Again, just a guess... I have to admit that I was surprised that Joe's wish was to have his ashes sprinkled somewhere in Viet Nam. I kinda would have expected it to be Montana but I guess that was a more recent favored location. Still Viet Nam wouldn't have been my first guess. I wonder if Jimmy Buffet is going to become more of a presence since he mentioned starting a business on Oahu

But 'Oh My God' at the end is not Steve, but Danny said. I am interested in one thing. It was a promotional photo with Grover in the HQ. But we did not see this scene in the episode. So I understand that he will hear the shot and run and see that Jerry is dead or seriously injured and that's why it has a face. The question is whether we will see this scene at the premiere.

Maybe they filmed more of the scene than we saw and they cut it while editing so it would be more of a cliffhanger. Or maybe they did it for continuity; PL said he presumed they'd be renewed even though there was no official word and maybe he wanted to be sure the scene played out as one entire scene. What do you think about the little boy being there and his mother being shot in front of him? Do you think they'll do that?

Maybe Jorge will not return for the season 10, so that's the only way they could show Jerry's death in episode 10.01, that they filmed this scene while filming the season finale. As for the theory with the child, I read theories about this, but I do not think they will do such a drastic thing, not in a show like Hawaii Five-0.

OK--I late to this party due to real life stuff. Just watched 9-25. It was OK...one problem I had was understanding what was being said a lot of the time. The background music seemed louder in this ep. Or maybe it is just my old laptop.
Don't know who got shot---we can all spend the summer pondering that one....
One thing that has bothered me is that last season they ended with Tani finding a gun in Adam's house..turns out it was the gun that killed his sister......then someone called it in on the anonymous tips line...then HPD searched the house and no gun was found. Junior knew about this also, and after his house was searched, Adam confronted Tani about the whole thing. And then crickets. That whole story line was dropped, and never heard from again---unless I missed something somewhere along the line... I wish they would tie up all the loose ends on this show.....
Anyways---ep 9-25 was OK---the whole story with Aaron was a bit too easily tied up. The story line with Junior and his Dad was good----just not enough there...they should have kept it to 2 stories----An don't get me started on Adam and his new girlfriend.....
See you all in the fall.........
