I needed a thread to ask how to do some stuff because I can't ever find where the instructions are in the other threads. I miss the thread called Board Software Issues from the creeper forum because that was my go to place for questions. However, since this board never has issues, I didn't think I should call it the same. Okay, I saw an amazing video about how the fab four 4 are always protecting the children of Hawaii- kind of a different spin. I wanted to bring it over here, but I couldn't figure it out. It was actually from youtube originally, but I saw it on facebook on Alex O'Loughlin's official page. Could someone please walk me through the steps. I'm starting to write everything down so I don't have to reask questions. The problem is I don't do any specific task enough to remember the process. Sorry to be a pain.    |

Copy the URL from the actual video, paste, highlight, hit the Tube icon (red one above the smileys) .... I think.

Thanks, Dani. So, did you like it? To copy the actual URL, do I have to get out of facebook and go to youtube because I looked for it and couldn't find it. Or, maybe I saw it and didn't know what I was looking at. You never know with me. Was it the middle option after the video played?

I hit the link you sent, it took me to youtube, and while it played I left-clicked (inside it to get the URL, and copied it from there... then I did what I said, and previewed before actually posting, because I hadn't done this before but I figure it's the same as an image.... it seemed to work.
I don't know about getting out of FB to go to YTube, I usually just travel around with everything (email, google, FB, YT open). Mind you I don't go on FB much but it doesn't seem to interfere with any surfing.

On most YouTube Videos that are on other sites like facebook, click twice on it, it will take you to you tube, at which point you can to up to your browser and copy the url. Then you come here, tap the very first button on the second line of buttons, and then paste the url between the brackets.

Wow! So much help! Thanks alot! I knew I missed that old thread. I just forgot how much. Dani, I don't know how you did it, but those pictures are perfect. Thanks for dummin' it down a bit. Darksea, I didn't know about the clicking it twice so thanks to you, too.

but I saw it on facebook on Alex O'Loughlin's official page. [ I thought that Alex does NOT have an official facebook page!!! So he does have one, does he maintain it or at least someone who represents him like his agent or something? |

It's somebody else maintaining it, he definitely doesn't go near it, but it is his official page.

No, it's not just you. I noticed it too, but I thought it had something to do with the tech on my side. This comp is way to old and should be taken down, rather than surfing in the undiscovered wides that calls itself the internet. It's just my backup piece. When I get back to my other one this afternoon, Ill check further .....
Are we growing to fast? Can't ProBoards keep up with us? ;D

I fear I think I know what it is.
Every picture that we put up from another site has to reach out and touch the other site, every time the board loads, it is reaching out to retrieve those pictures, particularly on threads that are up front and loading immediately. When you trickle the pictures on (put them up gradually) then some of the picture intensive threads pass off the front pages being loaded gradually, lessening the load.
We've had a rather picture intensive couple of days. I can only imagine how high the bandwidth use is for this board right now.
