Forgive me but I didn't grow up with computers so I do not always understand how they work.
I can down load Hawaii 50 episode from itunes. I bought the pilot. Now it will play on this computer BUT isn't there a way to put it on a disc so it is safe if the computer crashes and also to watch as dvd on tv?
I know you younger folks know this stuff in your sleep - so teach me.

As for backing up to a disc you need to go into iTunes->File->Library->Backup to disc which will then open a popup window. From here you can backup the files, so that if your computer ever crashes you can reload the file to iTunes. As for burning the file to a disc that can be played on a DVD player, that cannot be done as Apple uses proprietary software so that the content can not be copied and redistributed. But what you can do is sync your iTunes with an iPod with Video capabilities, iPad or and iPhone then use the following cord to connect the iPod/iPad/iPhone to your TV ( store.apple.com/us/product/MC748ZM/A?fnode=MTY1NDA0OQ&mco=MTM3NDk5Mzk) and then play the file on your device. The other way is to figure out a way to connect your computer's video output to your TV and then play the file through iTunes. The third way and the most difficult and the most illegal way to do it is to try to convert the file from one type to another. This way would required you to go out and procure additional software and go through a lot of additional steps, which if you are not computer literate is probably not really an option for you. Hope this helps.

Thank you, as long as I can save my stuff from crashes I'll be happy. I'll figure out how to connect this laptop to my TV and enjoy the BIG screen version..... hehe
