It's good. Not as good as the book, naturally, but good.

I admit I have never read a single word in any of the books or seen a single second of any of the movies....I know, I'm in teh minority of people when it comes to Harry Potter....

Watching them one after the other would have been great.... I had to wait a whole year in between! But well worth it. Of course as good as they were, you can't beat the books.... but still, for an adaptation, the movies were not bad.

Lord of the Rings is still my favorite, but I read a lot of fantasy, so yes, I'm into Harry Potter, too.

Those were good movies too - but I couldn't get into the books, which is strange. I'll confess to liking the Narnia movies too, and again, couldn't get into the books. Too old, I guess, and since I didn't read them as a kid, they just seem childish now. The movies were better since the characters were at least teens and not little kids.

I liked some things about the LOTR moves, but they got a lot of things wrong and that really turned me off. I read the Narnia series several times years ago. I always found it kind of sad. I only saw The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. I liked it, but haven't seen the others.

Narnia - I'd never read the books, but wanted to see the movie since I love fantasy, and my son's class was going so I went as chaperone and loved the effects and the creatures. Then I watched the second one and had a thing for Prince Caspian.... now I'm waiting to buy the third one. With LOTR, I just really got into it, so I wanted to watch all three... plus ... Legolas.

Caspian looks a lot different now.... thinner, beard.... I liked him better the first time he appeared in Narnia.... oh well. Now I got Danno to watch.

<chuckle> I've loved Aragorn for years, but like most women, I guess I would settle for Faramir.
