We WERE having nice weather.... 90 degrees, but now it's cool & cloudy. Ughhh.

It's been hovering between the high 80's and low 90's for awhile now, with low humidity -- perfect fire weather. There's been a few fires around me; thankfully nothing as bad as the Arizona fire, but still one burned about 2,500 acres. I'm always afraid this time of year (had to evacuate for a week a few years ago) -- from now until at least the end of the year -- that's prime fire storm weather. Cal Fire houses their fire planes for the San Diego area at the local airport about 2 miles from my house. I hear them flying over all the time.

That has gotta be scary. Still in the 90's today and tomorrow with high humidity. Heat index is suppose to be between 103 to 109 through Friday night. Then we are SUPPOSED to get possible storms Saturday and cool off a little to mid 80's or so. Hopefully it actually happens. *fingers crossed* We need the rain too.
