we all experience different weather at any given time. i'm a bit of a weather geek btw in ireland, we just experience the tail end of ex hurricane katia, she was grand, just bit of wind and some gust, but other than that, a bit over hyped. apparently there are rumours going around that snow is coming in october. don't know how solid that is, but after 2 very severe winters of sub temperatures, i'm not taking the chance so whats the story with the weather every where else??

Good to know there was nothing big with your hurricane. I wish you nice sunny weather for as long as you can get, exactly what I'm wishing for myself. Our days turned really cold for this time of year for a couple of days and now thankfully we're back to temperate weather. We need every bit of sun and warmth we can get in order to face our winters. Soon the rain will start, and the gray days, and it'll keep getting colder and colder. Then the snow will start. Uck. At least I'll be able to watch the fantastic weather in Hawaii.

not being cocky about it or anything it wasn't much of a hurricane by the time is reach us, although i suspect that was because it didn't make landfall, we're used to the crappy weather and strong winds at this time of year. and we've had stronger winds, we're actually due a big storm actually, haven't had a decent one in a while. oh how i miss the sunshine though, while it was dry during the summer, we didn't get a lot of sun.

I'm posting on this thread just to catch up a little. One or two of you have noticed I've been gone for a week. I was not well. I am better now. Missed you guys. Wondering what on earth Chococaan could possibly have gotten so riled up about. Wondering how come Darksea gets so riled up when she perceives an insult. Wondering how come it becomes a Topic of the Day and so much has to be said about it. Can't we all just get along? Heigh-ho. This is the first day I've been able to spend any time sitting up typing, and the past couple of days I've been exhausted trying to catch up on all the stuff I didn't get to read, and what with the SOTB, there's an almighty lot of it (see above). Relentless! My somewhat compromised senses are reeling. I've actually had to make notes to keep straight what I want to comment on, which is why I'm making a variety of comments here instead of clicking back and forth and getting a headache. (Debraluv, Happy Birthday from me too!) (Dianno, how come you can't get your avatar back? Isn't that picture out there somewhere? I miss it.) But glad to be back.
Now, as to the weather in North Texas: We broke the streak last week just short of setting an all-time record for consecutive days over 100 degrees. Then several blissful days of 80s - with an overnight or two under 70! - gradually warming back up to the 90s, and everybody rejoices. I'm not kidding. It's been murder. And yesterday, Monday, we went over again and set the record for days over 100 in one year. Oh whoop. Still there today. But having had a break, we've got a second wind, so to speak. There will be an end to summer. Now, if only it would friggin' RAIN. The trees are looking ill, and people's fences are leaning drastically because the ground's so dry the posts are coming loose. Even on the fancy-ass McMansion next door to me.

(Dianno, how come you can't get your avatar back? Isn't that picture out there somewhere? I miss it.) Margarine - No worries I have a copy of the pic, I just haven't had time to fix my avatar with everything going on with SOTB and the fact the cousin, whose wedding I attended down in Florida this past spring, his wife just gave birth to a beautiful baby boy this past Friday. ;D So my avatar has taken a back seat to getting to know the newest addition and using him as subject of my own personal photo shoot over the weekend.

Margarine, we missed you, too. I had noticed you weren't around for awhile. I thought you were staying away because of the spoilers for the season premiere. Glad to know you're feeling better. Dianno, congratulations on the little addition to your family. Enjoy this time. They are gone so quickly. I'm sure all the help you can be is greatly appreciated. New mommies and daddies get extremely exhausted very quickly when there's a new baby to take care of. Sleeping for more than 30 minutes was always a dream of mine after my 3 babies were born. I have a great support group that helped all the time. I don't know what I would've done without them. Do you scrapbook in all your spare time? There's a lot of precious paper and albums and accessories one can use to make the most adorable baby scrapbook. Even an 8x8 album that doesn't require as much work can be a treasure that would last through the ages. They also make great Christmas presents. Wow! That just got me thinking... Christmas is only 4 months away. I better get busy. Sorry, this became a letter instead of a post. I was seriously just going to say congratulations.

Not really a scrapbooker, but I am an amateur photographer in my spare time. I actual took all the wedding photos for the new little ones parents when they got married, as they didn't want to spring for a pro at $3000.00 a pop.

Photography is a great way to make a few extra bucks - my nephew does that. You could use one of the baby photos as your avatar so we can meet him too. Margarine, glad you're back and hope things will keep on getting better.

Margarine, glad you are back and feeling better. Diana, congrats on the new addition to the family - little babies are always so much fun!
Weather here in Bronxville has been Hazy, Hot and Humid. We've needed the A/C on in the classroom so far this week. But they say we're getting a shot of fall come Friday - with overnight lows in the 40s. Can't wait to sleep with the windows open!

i think here in ireland if we experience 40oC plus weather, i think we would melt. Hi, hi hi .....*uncontrollably giggling here*.....that looks like 400 C plus, not 40 C plus, of what I'm sure you meant. If we would experience that kind of temperature, I think it wouldn't matter where we are in the world. We would all melt. But I wouldn't mind the 40 C plus (Celsius of course, not Fahrenheit!). We are already down to 55-60 F over the course of the day. Sunny but that temp is way to cold for my liking at this time of the year. And I could do whithout the wind. I fear you are right Sunny, we are getting those crispy, snowy winter again. Hated the last two. I do enjoy the occasional snow day, but snow from late october to the middle of march is not natural for western middle europe. If the temps are keep dropping and the rain starts to fall again, it's going to turn into snow faster than you can say Holy Sh**! The funny thing is when the weather geeks are trying to tell you that it was even dryer or warmer than the last year, when all you have seen of the summer was rain and temps about 70 F. Makes you wonder were they lived all summer long.

i can figure out how to do the degree sign
i vanished to my holiday home through out july and august cause i was recovering from bronchitis and pleurisy. and it was ok, we had like 5 days of summer and that was it. could have done with some decent warm weather, my mum was going to take me to spain for 2 weeks, but i would have been to expensive.
while i love snow, it's crazy to think we might get some in OCTOBER.
