i can figure out how to do the degree sign  i vanished to my holiday home through out july and august cause i was recovering from bronchitis and pleurisy. and it was ok, we had like 5 days of summer and that was it. could have done with some decent warm weather, my mum was going to take me to spain for 2 weeks, but i would have been to expensive. while i love snow, it's crazy to think we might get some in OCTOBER. It's OK sunny, I knew what you meant. BTW I don't do those degree signs either. I just skip them. I'm a lazy person. Bronchitis and pleurisy? Gahhh, nasty. Used to get that while I still had my cat (undiscovered allergy of cat's hair that moved down to the lungs and developed into a lovely asthma). Was lying down once or twice a year. I can feel your pain, honey! As I'm just a few hundreds miles eastern of you we had mostly the same sh***y weather like you. Lots of cold days with clouds, rain and wind. Was missing the sun and a lazy breeze every now and then like hell....SIGH. Where's the decent summer gone to? And yes. Snow in october is frikkin unbelievable! Absolutely unacceptable! We should start complaining to St. Peter!

We in the New Mexico highlands just got snow last weekend above the 12000 ft. mark. We went from 90s every day to 70's virtually overnight.

I feel your pain. Here in Ohio over the Labor Day Weekend we went from a high of 100 degrees on Saturday to a high of 68 on Monday.

Can you imagine the irony? I was covering SOTB, looking at the beaches and warmness in Hawaii, while wrapped up in blankets, snuggling to my laptop, dealing with nighttime 43 degrees outside. Looked out the window at dawn., and lo and behold the peak just above us...white.

I would have been very grumpy to say at least. I'll send you over some hot chocolate and some fresh maded cookies. Maybe you are feeling better then. How about that? Or do you want some hot AOL instead to keep you warm?

I can't believe you guys had snow already.... before us? Strange. We're actually doing good here - not hot, but with some light sleeves on, it's great! Not wishing you bad or anything, but.... please.... keep the snow. We don't want any. (sort of like Hoochie).

A new record!!! Texas has beaten Oklahoma's record for hottest summer in the US since the beginning of records in 1895! Oklahoma in the 30s during the Dust Bowl was the winner, but even they beat out their own record to take 2nd place. Round of applause!

Is there going to be anything left of Texas to cool down? From what I'm hearing, it's burning down faster than it can dry up. We were like that all summer in New Mexico too, but now, we are getting freak snowstorms, and flooding rains. (Of course, tomorrow is Homecoming for several of the Northern NM schools, and there are three events that are sure to bring massive precip: fishing trips, science fair...and homecoming.
We will lose. We suck.
But it will be interesting to watch them hydroplane across the artificial turf.

Darksea, you'll have to keep us informed on how homecoming goes. I want to know if you win. You might! Good luck!

Our team is so bad that their first two games they have played this year, they have lost by a basketball score, instead of football. (68 to 6, 69 to 2)
The water on the fake 1.2 million dollar field might help them win, they can just slide into the endzone.
