This would be the actual law, that states that anything that can go wrong will.
Ok, so day before yesterday, I go out to my car, my pretty car, load my crap in it, get behind the wheel, start the car up, it's early in the morning, of course. I back up...
*Ka-thuh, Ka-thuh* Flat tire. To the core, not a single bit of air in this thing.
It's a low slung, new car, turns out you have to *break* the jack handle off, and the temporary tire...I wouldn't put that thing of a bicycle much less drive a rather large high torque, big engine, vehicle on it. I look at my watch, and realize that I need to get my hiney to a place with a high speed webcam for a very important meeting in 10 minutes. Not going to trust this tire, not going to put it on, call for a tow truck to change it in my own yard, transfer my crap to my truck, and haul butt to work.
End up with a web meeting that provided great info, but made me leaving like I wanted a shower for being so slimy and low feeling.
Friday, wake up with a migraine headache that did not give it up until 9 pm. Didn't go to work.
8 pm Friday, torrential rain and wind tear through the valley.
10:30 pm, lose satellite signal, ain't gonna go fix it in continued torrential rain/snow hybrid.
11 pm, rain turns to heavy snow.
11:08: Power goes out. House only has a furnace, blowers run on electricity.
The power didn't come back on until 15 hours later. Temperatures dropped down to 20 degrees. In. The. House.
Went to go check on the grandparents place in the mountains. Seems the winds produced a microburst, that tore branches off of every Cottonwood tree on the property, and sent them straight at every possible walkway, bridge, access point and roof it could. We are talking tree explosion, with 6 inches of snow melting on it. Got soaking wet moving the branches.
Come home, heat is mercifully on, but now, I can feel the cold settling into my chest, and I have the sniffles.
You ever just have one of those weeks?
