Congratulations! My first baby just turned 14 and my second is about to turn 12, and I have to say that whatever the bumps along the parenthood road so far, they have both brought unbelievable blessings into my life! Here's hoping that you find as much joy with your little one

Oh, my goodness!!! Twassbrake, I'm so excited for you. I've been catching up on this thread today and just found out. I'm sorry I'm behind on wishing you the best. This is so exciting. We're going to add a little baby to our ohana. Yea!!! Please keep in touch about everything. Are you going to be able to find out the gender? Do you have names picked out yet? I'm glad to hear that you're feeling stronger now. You are entering the trimester that normally is the easiest and where you feel the best. I truly hope that's the case for you. Do you fit in maternity clothes yet? That was always fun for me because then everyone else knew why I looked the way I did. When I was in that inbetween stage, I would wear my hubby's jeans with a belt. Isn't that funny! Ginger Ale was my favorite drink the first half of each pregnancy, but that was because I was so nauseated. I'm thrilled for you that you haven't experienced that. I'm just so excited for you. Please keep us in touch about everything or I'm afraid I will end up bugging you with all my questions. Here's a hug and a great big congratulations being sent your way.

Hi everybody, we are still fine. Had some major testing on monday. They tested the probability for Down-Syndrome (not that the test result would've changed anything). Although we still need to wait on the final results, the pre-liminary says everything is alright.
I'm plastered right now with work, with no chance of checking in. I'm happy if I get half an hour to eat something when at work. I hope it gets better on friday.
@scarla, you're so sweet. Keep bugging me about everything. It's OK. And btw, yes I'm already getting "well rounded" in the middle. Too much for my own clothes and way too less for maternity clothes yet. So I went shopping on monday. I'm now the proud owner of clothes in a size I'm not going to make officially. Sweet heaven, I'm going to be one of those walruses.

Twassbrake, are the tests you had done on Monday normal or were they concerned about something that they wanted to check? If that's too personal, just ignore the question. I so hope that the test results come back with good news. So, you're getting "well-rounded" in the middle. If you're in the beginning of the second trimester, you will be feeling our little baby move very soon. You will always remember where you were and what you were doing the very first time you felt life out of your little one. Very special! Oh, and don't worry about being a walrus. You'll be adorable. You're a pregnant mommy! So, exactly how far along are you? If you're already feeling like a walrus, maybe you're having twins. Have they checked that yet? I'm sure you'd know by now because you would've heard more than one heartbeat probably unless their heartbeats matched. Am I freaking you out a little bit. Don't worry! You just protect that growing tummy and be proud of it. I'm so excited for you. We love you! Keep resting and eating!

Thanks! The testing that was done was not regular one, but no concerns. It was one of those tests you can ask for (if you are willing to pay for it). My hubby can get carried away with his concerns, so to please his nerves we done this tests. As it consists of a blood test and a fine ultrasound it's non-invasive. No harm for the baby. I'm now late in my 14th week, so really early into the 2nd trimester. I'm not a walrus yet but the way it's going I'm turning into one. No twins btw. We already checked per ultrasound. According to my doctor the baby is going to be a kickboxer. It's very lively. Going to tell you more next week.

To be honest. We always said it didn't matter to us if it's a boy or girl. I hate this gender specific clothes in blue and rose, so not saying anything will make people back off of those. But recently my hubby and me discussed if we want to know anyway. I think it's going to be a tough last minute decision. We are so undefinite on that.

And either way, that little baby will be loved, and that's all that counts.

Twassbrake - my son was a big baby, so I ended up somewhere between a manatee and an orca. So a walrus actually sounds pretty good. Just stock up on slip-on shoes for those months ahead when you can't reach your own feet. Glad to hear that everything is going well for you.
